Mark Berman: Mike D'Antoni says the MRI will provide the information needed on James Harden's hamstring injury: "It's probably closer to a strain that it is tightness. He wouldn't have gone out if it's just tight. So he felt a little bit more, I'm sure." #Rockets pic.twitter.com/iRuYrmKbqU
According to Harden, it’s nothing to be alarmed about. “Just felt tightness in that hamstring,” he said. “I’ll see how it feels tomorrow.” When asked if the pain was similar to his hamstring injury last season, which caused him to miss nearly two weeks, he added, “Nah, it’s nothing serious. It’s nothing close to last year, just being cautious.” According to one source who spoke to The Athletic, the injury shouldn’t cause Harden to miss more than one game, which would be Friday, when the Clippers come to town.
Tim MacMahon: James Harden still sit out tonight vs. Mavs and play Monday against the Spurs, coach Mike D’Antoni said.

Rockets guard James Harden could return from his strained left hamstring as soon as Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said, before Harden went through some of Sunday's practice in UCLA, his first practice time with the team since the injury Dec. 31. Harden's return "could be Thursday or Saturday, I don't know," D'Antoni said. "We'll see how it is. Each day he's got to get better. We'll see. Whenever he's ready.
Alykhan Bijani‏: MDA on Harden’s injury: It’s the exact same thing as having Chris out. It’s just too bad we’re not maturing as a team with both of them together, but that’s okay. We’ve got plenty of time. We just have to get through this next stretch of games without him & play at a high level.
Harden said he felt his hamstring pull as he went up for a driving layup. "Hopefully it is not that serious, just a pull on the hammy," an optimistic Harden said afterward. "Just got some treatment right now and hopefully, day to day, it gets better. "But I'll be good," Harden added. "[It was concerning] especially [when] you don't know what it is or you have never experienced it before. Like I really can't run. If I am going to play. But I really couldn't run so let me go back here and see what is going on. We'll see. I think we don't play again until [Wednesday against Orlando]. ... So I got a couple of days."

Harden missed Sunday's game at Phoenix with the flu. The Rockets were off the past two days. "I really couldn't move, couldn't talk, couldn't speak because of my throat," Harden said Wednesday. "My body was shaking -- just the chills. It wasn't good. I'm happy to be OK and be able to move and get back out here."
Houston Rockets star James Harden is sitting out against Phoenix because of illness, his first missed game of the season. The Rockets said Sunday their MVP candidate had acute viral syndrome.
Marc J. Spears: Adding to Calvin Watkins' report, Rockets guard James Harden is doubtful to play at Phoenix tonight due to flu-like symptoms.
Rockets guard James Harden said he'll play in Thursday's game against the Blazers with a jammed left wrist. Harden hurt the wrist March 18 when he took a nasty spill at Denver. "It will get better but if I keep banging on it and keep falling on it then it's going to keep going back too square one," Harden said Thursday morning.
Adam Wexler: D'Antoni said Harden is fine, expected to play Sun. vs Cavs. Obviously Harden returned to last night's game after ankle injury. #Rockets

"Unless something crazy happens between now and game time, he should be ready to go."
Harden left his status as "We'll see." "Feel better than I did yesterday," Harden said. "Every day has been improving and getting better. I've been rehabbing and getting treatment every single day, icing it, just doing the things that hopefully will put me in position to play tonight. "I feel good I'll play. If I feel all right, I'll play."

Michele Roberts calls out Sixers GM Daryl Morey

In an exclusive statement to Yahoo Sports’ Vincent Goodwill, Roberts urged everyone to be respectful and supportive of Simmons as he works through a tough time. She also called out Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey’s comments about continuing this standoff with Simmons for the four remaining years of his contract. “Really? Is it so hard to believe that Ben’s not mentally at a place to compete? Professional athletes — like the rest of us — have difficult periods in our lives that require time and energy to heal. We have and will continue to provide Ben with the support and resources he needs to work through this. Threatening the prospect of ‘another four years’ serves no one’s interests. Like Tobias [Harris], I say let’s respect Ben’s space and embrace him while allowing him the time to move forward. “So, take a breath and count to 10: We are all too good to continue to play this perpetual game of chicken.”

The Wizards then flipped a draft pick for Aaron Holiday and signed Spencer Dinwiddie as part of the trade. Kuzma put on his GM hat after Friday’s game to evaluate the deal in hindsight. “I mean, you gotta do that trade 10 out of 10 times. If you have an opportunity to get five good basketball players for one, it makes sense. Granted, [Westbrook is] obviously a Hall of Fame player and everything. He’s an unbelievable player, don’t take that wrong,” Kuzma said.
