More on Derrick Favors Injury

The Jazz on Monday morning announced that Derrick Favors will miss the game because of back spasms, and the team said on Monday afternoon that Kyle Korver will be out because of right knee soreness. Additionally, the team announced Monday morning that Raul Neto is questionable because of concussion symptoms.
David Locke: Derrick Favors (neck spasm) is OUT tonight, Jonas Jerebko will start in his place
Kyle Goon: Derrick Favors is available to play tonight. Off the injury report after his right ankle sprain.
Tony Jones: Derrick Favors received six stitches and will not return… no concussion, tho, so that's good
Chris Miller: Both Derrick Favors (Knee) and George Hill (groin) ruled out Friday vs. @Washington Wizards #DCFamily #WizJazz
Jody Genessy: The Jazz will be without Derrick Favors, George Hill and Raul Neto tonight. Gordon Hayward participated in shootaround but is questionable.
Favors was examined Saturday by the Utah Jazz medical staff and underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) testing, the results of which showed a bone contusion on his left knee. In order to allow the injury proper time to heal, he will continue to receive treatment and will be reevaluated later this week. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
Favors, whose averages of 9.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game are his lowest since the 2011-12 season, said he doesn't think the persistent soreness will continue to be a problem beyond this season. "It's not," he said. "I'm just being smart with it, though. I missed a couple of games, it's been sore here and there, but we're taking the smart approach, thinking long-term, just being smart with it and making sure I'm a hundred percent healthy when we need it."
Utah Jazz power forward/center Derrick Favors will play Wednesday night after missing the previous 12 games due to a bone bruise in his left knee, league sources told ESPN. Favors isn't expected to play much against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as he will be on a strict minutes restriction. He returned to practice this week and was a full participant Tuesday.

Favors isn't expected to play much against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as he will be on a strict minutes restriction. He returned to practice this week and was a full participant Tuesday. "I don't want to try to do too much too soon," Favors told Utah reporters Monday. "I want to get back into a rhythm and get in shape."
Tim MacMahon: An MRI performed Wednesday confirmed a bone contusion in Jazz PF Derrick Favors' left knee, the team announced. He is out Thursday against the Bulls and could miss an extended period due to the knee, which has been problematic since the preseason. "Rest is the main thing and then treatment to the extent that he can do it, whatever that entails," coach Quin Snyder said. "Then hopefully in time he gets better."
Aaron Falk: Utah Jazz power forward Derrick Favors will be OUT tomorrow night against the Chicago Bulls, league sources tell The Salt Lake Tribune
Jazz PF Derrick Favors on his problematic left knee: "It's just something I'm trying to fight through and deal with. It just keeps getting sore, really sore, on me. We'll see [if he needs to sit for an extended period]. I need to talk to the trainers and coach about it. We'll see. We've just got to figure stuff out with it. It's tough. I want to be there for my teammates, want to play, want to get wins. At the same time, I've got to be smart with it and just try to figure out how to make it better.
Andy Larsen: Quin Snyder told us that Favors had no pain on his back today, which obviously is great news for the team.
Mike Mazzeo: No Derrick Favors tonight. #Nets will face the other piece in D-Will deal, Enes Kanter, Sunday vs. OKC.
Derrick Favors likely will miss his 15th consecutive game, due to back spasms. But he was working on his post moves with assistant Tony Lang, and has been in better spirits this week, especially since he traveled with the team.
Jody Genessy: Chris Johnson (viral gastroenteritis) is probable vs. Kings, but Derrick Favors (back spasms) will miss his 12th straight game.
Kerry Eggers: PF Derrick Favors (back) will miss his 11th straight game for Jazz tonight. Quin Snyder: "I'd be surprised if he is healthy enough to play."
Andy Larsen: Derrick Favors did not travel with the team on their 2 game road trip. Rudy Gobert did. Favors looked like he was really hurting yesterday.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, 35-year-old point guard will sign a 1+1 contract with Real Madrid, where he played for six years, from 2010 until 2016. The return of Sergio Rodríguez is the first move Real Madrid has made for next season. The player had a renewal offer from AX Armani Exchange Milan, but, after six years away from Spain (one with the Philadelphia 76ers, two with CSKA Moscow and three with Armani), he has prioritized returning to Madrid with his family.
Mychelle Johnson (Miles Bridges’ wife): I hate that it has come to this but I can’t be silent anymore. I’ve allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life. I have nothing to prove to the world, but I won’t allow anyone who could do something so horrible to have no remorse and paint a picture of something I’m not. I won’t allow the people around him to continue to silence me and continue to lie to protect this person. It’s unethical, it’s immoral, it’s truly SICK. It hurts my heart because I’ve always had hope, and so much love and as scary as this is for me to do it’s time I stand up for myself. I won’t be silent to protect others anymore because I value myself and my kids more than anyones ‘image’.… a fracture nose, wrist, torn eardrum, torn muscles in my neck from being choked until i went to sleep and a severe concussion. I don’t need sympathy, I just don’t want this happening to anyone else, I just want this person to get help, my kids deserve better. That’s all i want. It hurts, everything hurts, this situation hurts, most importantly I’m scared and hurting for my kids who were witness to everything. Please respect my families privacy and stop with the disgusting rumors and allegations.

It’s no coincidence the two franchises Durant has eyed represent some kind of stability and competitive consistency, with the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat being atop his list. For all the influence Durant perhaps craved and was granted in Brooklyn, he’s a hooper first and second — with the game being the main thing with #HeatCulture and in the Suns’ building. Sources told Yahoo Sports wanting to play alongside Devin Booker is a main motivation, along with the possibility of being slated next to Miami’s resident hard-ass Jimmy Butler — two players whose attendance is rarely questioned.
