Eric Walden: Draymond Green is probable to play tonight vs. the Jazz.
Anthony Slater: Some news: Draymond Green is trending toward a return tonight at home vs Jazz. He missed the last five games because of a torn ligament (and small bone chip, I’ve been told) in left index finger. Warriors listing Green as probable.
Anthony Slater: Steve Kerr says a re-evaluation is coming soon on Draymond Green (torn ligament in left index finger). Hope is he returns in near future. pic.twitter.com/RTNV1yHXXE
Anthony Slater: Steve Kerr said Draymond Green will miss the next few games, at least. Torn ligament in his left index finger. Not a long term absence, though.
Anthony Slater: Draymond Green will not play against the Hornets tonight. He sprained his left index finger vs Spurs. D’Angelo Russell is questionable because of a right ankle sprain. Skeleton crew.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green injured his left index finger during Friday night's 127-110 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, and his status for Saturday's home game against the Charlotte Hornets is unclear. Green was wearing a wrap over both his wrist and left index finger when he met with reporters following Friday's game and said he was dealing with a "ligament" issue. Officially, the Warriors called the injury a sprained left index finger. It remains to be determined whether Green will need an MRI.
"I hurt my finger," Green said. "Ligament action. But it is what it is. ... I don't know [about Saturday]; we'll see. It's pretty sore. I couldn't grip the ball the whole entire [game], probably since the second quarter. Which is why I was making a lot of one-handed, right-handed passes and dribbling left with my right hand. I couldn't really grip the ball, so we'll see. Hopefully, it will calm down a little bit overnight, but who knows?"
Nick Friedell: Draymond has his left index finger taped postgame. Says he’s dealing with a ‘ligament’ issue. He says it’s sore and he’s dealing with some swelling. He’s not sure if he will play Saturday vs. Hornets or not right now.
Marc J. Spears: Warriors forward Draymond Green tells @TheUndefeated that his back is sore but he expects to play Friday against the Spurs.
And if you aren’t sure, just ask the Warriors themselves. I stopped Draymond Green after his postgame press conference and asked: What do you think when you hear outsiders suggesting that the Warriors are better off with Durant out? “That’s idiotic,” Green said, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. “It’s very idiotic. I don’t think there’s one person in this locker room, one person in this organization that thinks that. And I know for damn sure that any idiot that does possibly (say) it don’t believe it.”
Mark Medina: Draymond Green and Shaun Livingston both good to go with playing tonight vs Hornets
Warriors forward Draymond Green is probable for Monday night’s game against the Hornets with a left ankle sprain. "It wasn’t very bad," Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said after practice Sunday at Davidson College. "He’s doing everything today."
Asked whether he’ll be especially cautious moving forward with Green, who has been hobbled by multiple injuries this season, Kerr said: "I think everybody is just, whatever (director of sports medicine and performance) Rick (Celebrini) tells me, that’s what we’re going to do. I don’t know that there’s a different protocol, but every guy has a different set of circumstances. We’re going to be careful with all of them."
His teammates were also not concerned that Green would miss any kind of significant time. "He'll be back for the playoffs," Warriors forward Kevin Durant said. "I mean, that's the only thing we worry about here, right?"
Mark Medina: Not clear yet if Draymond Green will need x-rays or an MRI. Warriors expect to have more clarity tomorrow
Mark Medina: Steve Kerr said Draymond Green’s ankle is fine
Marcus Thompson: Draymond Green did a lot of extra work after practice. Didn’t look hindered at all
Logan Murdock: Draymond Green: "It's a good time for us to make a run."
Mark Medina: It’s official: Draymond Green will play tomorrow vs Minnesota
Logan Murdock: Draymond Green will play tomorrow, per Steve Kerr. Kerr says he won’t have a minutes restriction.
Malika Andrews: Draymond Green is inactive for the Warriors tonight against the Bucks.
“We’re excited about his progress,” Kerr said. “Hopefully it continues the next few days.” Kerr had previously said that Green would need to complete a full practice before returning. He softened that stance on Wednesday, mindful that he often holds optional practices so he can rest his stars and veteran players. The Warriors are currently scheduled to practice on Thursday in Milwaukee. “He’s getting live action now. He’ll probably get some live action tomorrow,” Kerr said. “We may not have a heavy practice. But he could get some scrimmaging in with the other guys and coaches.”
Anthony Slater: Draymond Green injury update: Target return is on the first or second game of upcoming homestand, which starts on Monday pic.twitter.com/GAc2lL9ctp
Anthony Slater: Draymond Green updates his sprained toe: "The day I (targeted), it ain't really going according to my plans...Physically getting better... The last week, I took some huge strides...I just don't want to get thrown back into a game. That's a little different pressure on your toe."
Nick Friedell: Draymond Green says he doesn’t have any pain in his toe anymore. He was hoping to be back for tonight’s game in Detroit — but needs to get back in game shape. He’s optimistic he will be back soon.
Mark Medina: Steve Kerr said there’s no new updates on Draymond and McKinnie. Still out and considered day to day
Anthony Slater: Steve Kerr said Draymond Green “feels like he’ll be able to play by the end of this road trip.” Sounds like the target is at Cleveland or Milwaukee.
Curry, surprisingly, is now ahead of Draymond Green in their separate recoveries. Green is still feeling the lingering effects of a toe sprain. Sources say Green, who has yet to return to practice, likely won’t make it back until at least the Atlanta game next Monday, meaning he’ll miss the Thursday game in Toronto and the Saturday game in Detroit.
Mark Medina: Steve Kerr said Draymond Green will need to be "on the court for at least the next couple of days" before he returns. That makes his return to Toronto seem dicey since he hasn't practiced yet.
Anthony Slater: Draymond Green and Alfonzo McKinnie remain out tonight vs Magic.
Chris Haynes: Golden State All-Star Draymond Green underwent an MRI on his right toe recently and the results confirmed a sprain, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. Remains day-to-day.
Jason Anderson: Spoke to a team source with the @Golden State Warriors who confirms that @Stephen Curry, @Draymond Green and @Alfonzo McKinnie will all be out tonight against the @Sacramento Kings.
Anthony Slater: Injured status of Warriors players remains the same: Draymond Green and Alfonzo McKinnie out tonight, day-to-day moving forward. Steph Curry gets official re-evaluation tomorrow morning, but already ruled out tonight and tomorrow night vs Kings.
Logan Murdock: Draymond Green will NOT play tonight against the Blazers
Brett Dawson: Draymond Green definitively out tonight, Steve Kerr says.
Mark Medina: No Draymond Green sighting at practice today
There is no current timetable for Draymond’s return. The team will take Monday completely off before returning to the gym on Tuesday. Then, there should be an update on the progress of Draymond’s toe sprain. But if he’s feeling well enough to play on Wednesday, you gotta think he’s going to push himself to be on the court.
Marc J. Spears: Warriors say Draymond Green (right toe sprain) and Alfonzo McKinnie (left foot soreness) are out for tonight's game against San Antonio.
Mark Medina: Warriors rule out Stephen Curry for tomorrow vs Clippers. Draymond Green and Shaun Livingston are questionable
Green might return Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers, a source told Spears, and after Curry's injury, Livingston could return in the near future.
Logan Murdock: Draymond Green did not practice today.
Anthony Slater: Draymond Green is out for tomorrow’s Bucks game with a right toe sprain. Shaun Livingston also still out. Andre Iguodala will play.
Nick Friedell: Draymond Green (right toe) will not play vs. Bucks. Shaun Livingston (foot soreness) also remains out. Steve Kerr says Green is day-to-day. No long term concern on the toe injury.
Logan Murdock: Steve Kerr says Draymond Green will play in 5-6 minute bursts in the beginning of the season. Says Green is still working to get back into season shape after missing time in preseason.
Mark Medina: Steve Kerr said he expects Draymond Green will play tomorrow. He practiced in a light session today
Warriors forward Draymond Green made progress Monday morning, participating in shoot-around, but will still miss the team’s preseason game against Phoenix with a sore left knee.
"It’s pretty good; I’m getting better," said Green, who expects to return for Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers in Las Vegas. "I started shooting yesterday and shot today, so it’s moving in the right direction." An MRI exam on Green’s left knee came back clean.
Monte Poole: Draymond Green will not play Monday for @Warriors vs. Suns. The plan: Shootaround on Monday, and maybe he'll be able to go on Wednesday vs. Lakers in Vegas.
Monte Poole: As @Warriors are introduced prior to their open practice at Oracle Arena, only Draymond Green does not trot out. He walks. The knee soreness that has plagued him for six days continues to linger.
Anthony Slater: No Draymond Green in Seattle. Will sit Friday’s game with a sore knee. He had an MRI, came back fine. No long term concern.
Logan Murdock: Draymond Green is out with a sore knee, according to Steve Kerr. Kerr said “We’ll see” when asked if it will be lingering.
Monte Poole: Both @Kevin Durant and @Draymond Green officially listed as probable for #Warriors vs. #Bucks on Thursday. It's gonna be pretty hard to keep them off the floor. Like, really hard.
Melissa Rohlin: Kerr said Draymond was having trouble keeping food down & that his illness is lingering. He wanted to play tonight too. The Warriors said no
Monte Poole: Draymond Green (variety of issues) downgraded from probable last night to doubtful this morning, per #Warriors.
Melissa Rohlin: Draymond Green will play tomorrow. Kevin Durant won’t play tomorrow but Kerr said he could be back Tuesday or Thursday of next week.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green left midway through the second quarter of Monday's 89-75 loss to the San Antonio Spurs with a pelvic contusion that he said is "not serious." The injury occurred when Green took an inadvertent knee below the belt from Spurs guard Danny Green. "It'll be fine," the forward told reporters after the game. "I think it's just kind of something that's kind of at the peak right now, but it's calmed down a little bit since it happened. So, it's not that serious."
Logan Murdock: Draymond Green is OUT against the Lakers with shoulder soreness and Jordan Bell is probable, per team.

Nets willing to drag on trade talks for Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving into training camp

With four years left on Kevin Durant’s contract, and Kyrie Irving having opted in to the last year of his deal, the Nets have leverage and every intention of using it. And league personnel say the Nets have implied if they don’t get what they want, this could well drag on into training camp.
Nets general manager Sean Marks and owner Joe Tsai had agreed to work with Durant and business partner Rich Kleiman to try to trade him to one of his preferred landing spots. But in the end, Durant and Irving are expected to be moved where and when it works best for Nets management.
Nets not wanting to trade Joe Harris

How the Nets deal with Joe Harris may be the best indicator of how they plan to proceed. He’s the longest-tenured Net, often consulted by Marks on major decisions. “I know the Nets absolutely do not want to trade Joe under any scenario,” a league source familiar with Brooklyn’s thinking told The Post. “But there are just thousands of different ways this can play out.”

Taken in the most recent draft at No. 8 overall by New Orleans, Australian product Dyson Daniels is already impressing the Pelicans’ coaching staff. “We’re playing him in scrimmages we’re putting him in multiple spots,” said Pelicans lead assistant coach Jarron Collins, who will coach in Summer League. “Obviously, he can be a primary ball-handler, he can literally play 1-4 and defend every single position.”
Standing 6′8 with a 6′11 wingspan, Daniels has physical tools to be inserted in various scenarios on the floor in various roles. “Frankly, his versatility will allow us to be creative with our lineups,” Collins said. “And his availability to us putting him in different spots.”
There’s a possibility that the son of a former New Orleans NBA great may become an LSU Tiger. LSU men’s basketball head coach Matt McMahon has given an offer to four-star recruit Andrej Stojakovic, according to a social media post from AAU team Compton Magic out of California. Andrej, the small forward who plays for the Compton AAU team and Jesuit High in California, is the son of former New Orleans, then known as Hornets, great Peja Stojakovic.
