Christian Clark: Brandon Ingram is a game time decision tomorow. Lonzo Ball won’t play.
Jennifer Hale: For fans wondering what happened to B.I.'s R knee: he successfully went through shoot around this am & pre game warm ups tonight. When he sat down after warm ups, the knee tightened up. @PelicansNBA tell me they want to rest B.I. until tests are done tomorrow, including an MRI.
Michael Gallagher: Per Pels TV, Brandon Ingram is expected to get further testing tomorrow.
Christian Clark: Brandon Ingram is a late scratch. He’s out with right knee soreness. Josh Hart will start in his place.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram was not listed on the injury report Sunday evening and will be cleared to play Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets. Ingram left Saturday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a head injury and did not play in the second half.
Will Guillory: Source: Brandon Ingram was evaluated for but not diagnosed with concussion. Team will continue to monitor him before tomorrow's game on Brooklyn. As of now, he is not in the concussion protocol.
Scott Kushner: Evaluations concluded Brandon Ingram did not suffer a concussion in yesterday’s loss at OKC, per source. He will be continue to be monitored and his status for Mon night at BKN is currently unknown.
Ingram's specific injury wasn't initially clear, with the team saying he was still being "evaluated" some 30 minutes after the game. He was evaluated for a concussion but was not diagnosed with one, a team source told ESPN's Andrew Lopez. "I haven't seen it at all," coach Alvin Gentry said Saturday. "Just got hit in the head, that's it."
Jim Eichenhofer: Brandon Ingram (head injury) doubtful to return. It appears he was struck on a play in 2Q
Will Guillory: Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball say they are both close to being back to doing basketball activities. Lonzo says he's about a week or two away from being cleared
Mike Bresnahan: Brandon Ingram (blood clots) said he kept going “back and forth” to the doctor, trying to figure out what was wrong. “When we were going through all those tests, I didn’t think it would be something this serious,” he said. Kept feeling tightness and a “little pinch” in his arm.
Tania Ganguli: Spoke to a hemotologist who said Ingram’s likelihood of a full recovery is in the high 90s percent-wise since his issue was structural. BI’s agent Jeff Schwartz said, “This is the best set of facts you could have with a clot.“ He’ll be pretty much recovered in 3-4 months.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram underwent successful thoracic outlet decompression surgery on his right arm Saturday and is expected to make a full recovery in three to four months, sources told ESPN.
Ingram was shut down last week after a medical examination of his sore right shoulder revealed deep venous thrombosis -- a condition caused by a blood clot. That clot was removed Saturday. "This couldn't have been a better set of facts for a clot," Ingram's agent, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management, told ESPN.
Ingram, the Lakers' No. 2 pick out of Duke University in 2016, had a condition that was linked to the makeup of his body, rather than the makeup of his blood. "It's a night and day difference between a hematological issue, or a blood issue however you want to put it, and a structural issue," Schwartz told ESPN. "This was not related to his blood producing something that would cause blood clots. This was purely structural."
Alex Kennedy: Brandon Ingram has a DVT – a blood clot that forms in the [arm] (usually when immobile, like on a flight). A DVT can become a pulmonary embolism. That’s what Chris Bosh had. It can kill you. He’ll need to take a blood-thinning med for a few months. You can’t play while on that med. (…) If Brandon Ingram gets 2nd DVT, he’d need to be on a blood-thinning med long-term to prevent a possibly lethal clot. You can’t play while on that med because you’re at risk of a bleeding episode. Hopefully this is a one-time thing. Otherwise, he may be in same boat as Chris Bosh.
Alex Kennedy: I don't mean to be a downer regarding the Brandon Ingram DVT news. Like I said, this only becomes serious if Ingram has a clotting issue and needs blood-thinning meds long-term. Plenty of athletes have had one clot and were fine after that. Anderson Varejao, Serena Williams, etc.
John Karalis: Lakers announce that testing on Brandon Ingram revealed a Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) in his arm. Ingram is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Ryan Ward: Both Kyle Kuzma (ankle) and Brandon Ingram (shoulder) didn’t practice today. #Lakers
Mike Trudell: Ingram and Rondo have both been recalled by the Lakers, after they practiced with the @SouthBayLakers. They’ll rejoin the Lakers when the team returns from the road trip that concludes tonight in Brooklyn.
Mike Trudell: Brandon Ingram will not join the team on the remainder of the trip (through Tuesday at Brooklyn), but is progressing well from the sprained ankle.
Mike Bresnahan: Brandon Ingram will not travel with the team to Houston, as expected, and will be evaluated again Saturday. If Ingram’s knee feels better, there’s a change he meets up with the team later that day in Charlotte, Luke Walton said.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram has an ankle sprain, an MRI showed, according to the team. He will be re-evaluated in a week. The Lakers are at Memphis on Saturday night, host Miami on Monday and are back on the road Thursday against Houston.
Bill Oram: Luke Walton says Lakers are still awaiting MRI results on Brandon Ingram, so no real update at this point. Isaac Bonga is with the Lakers, but is essentially “an insurance policy,” Walton says.
Harrison Faigen: Luke just said that Lonzo and Ingram are good to go for tonight.
Ryan Ward: For the #Lakers season finale against the #Clippers tonight, Lonzo Ball (knee) and Brandon Ingram (concussion protocol) have been ruled OUT. Kyle Kuzma (ankle) is questionable
Jonathan Feigen: No Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma or Brandon Ingram for the Lakers vs Rockets tonight.
Ohm Youngmisuk: On the likelihood that Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma will not play in the season finale tomorrow night, Luke Walton says their seasons are very likely over as the Lakers play it safe.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Lonzo Ball (knee), Kyle Kuzma (ankle) and Brandon Ingram (concussion) are out tonight against Houston. Ingram will be re-evaluated tonight but even if cleared, he very well could sit out tomorrow's finale since it's a back-to-back.
Mike Bresnahan: Kyle Kuzma (sprained ankle) will not play tonight. Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram are still out. Ingram being evaluated again tonight for concussion symptoms, though unlikely to play tomorrow in finale even if he’s declared to be free from concussion protocol.
Bill Oram: Brandon Ingram is shooting around on the court. That’s one of the final steps of the concussion protocol. He will be re-evaluated tonight. However, it’s all semantics at this point. With no remaining practices and chances for conditioning, his season is all but over
Eric Woodyard: Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, and Brandon Ingram will not play today vs. Utah.
Andy Larsen: Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball are both questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Jazz. Ingram still out. Brook Lopez probable.
Mike Trudell: Luke Walton said that Ingram and Ball are both out tonight, but whenever they’re cleared and ready to play, they’ll play. Said both are feeling better and neither is shut down for season. Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler will play for Minnesota, Thibs just confirmed.
Tania Ganguli: Brandon Ingram will have to go through several activities without his concussion symptoms returning before he can play. Today he did the first of those: riding a stationary bike. After 24 hours if the symptoms don't return, he'll go on to the next step. He's out for tomorrow.
Mike Bresnahan: Lonzo Ball (bruised knee) and Brandon Ingram (concussion) will not play tomorrow vs. Minnesota, according to the Lakers’ injury report.
Tania Ganguli: Brandon Ingram didn't travel with the Lakers to Utah and is out for tomorrow's game. Lonzo Ball did travel but is doubtful. Naturally, Alex Caruso is still with them.
Mike Trudell: Lakers are listing Lonzo Ball (knee contusion) as doubtful for tomorrow night’s game, while Brandon Ingram (concussion protocol) is out. The team didn’t practice today.
Bill Oram: Lakers say Brandon Ingram (groin strain) participated in games of 3-on-3 today. He is listed as questionable for Wednesday vs. Dallas.
Mike Trudell: Brandon Ingram played some 2-on-2 today as he continues to progress, but he will likely be out tomorrow in Detroit as he’s not yet game ready.
Tania Ganguli: Lakers listed Brandon Ingram as doubtful in their notes for tomorrow's game, which is a slight upgrade from "out," which has been his designation for previous games since his injury. Doubtful still means he probably won't play
Mike Trudell: Brandon Ingram (left groin strain) is out for Monday’s game at IND. The next game isn’t until Thursday at NOP; ideally, Ingram can practice w/contact between games, which is the next step. Meanwhile: Lopez (back tightness) and Kuzma (sprained ankle) are probable at IND.
Brandon Ingram said the next step to returning is to go on the court and ramp it up with the team. The next practice for the Lakers likely is early next week in New Orleans after they play in Indiana on Monday. "He obviously is coming with us on the road trip," Luke Walton said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he plays on the road trip. He is feeling much better he says. But we are going to keep being patient with him and make sure that he goes through all the proper channels before we throw him back out there."
Mike Trudell: Brandon Ingram has been cleared for non-contact basketball activities. Lakers say he’s progressing well and he’ll be listed as day-to-day. Earliest he could return is Monday in Indiana. Next game after that isn’t until Thursday in New Orleans.
Bill Oram: Brandon Ingram has been cleared to begin on-court, non-contact basketball activities. Lakers say he is "progressing well" and is "day-to-day"
Tania Ganguli: The Lakers have Brandon Ingram listed as out for tomorrow's game against the Heat. Ingram suffered a groin strain on March 1 in Miami.
Ryan Ward: Luke Walton on Brandon Ingram: “It's a groin injury, so we're not going to rush it. When he's cleared to play, we'll get him back on the court, but we'll keep taking it day by day.” #Lakers
Ryan Ward: Luke Walton on Brandon Ingram: "He's in there getting treatment right now on the AlterG machine, so it's good to see, but nothing new.” #Lakers
Mike Trudell: Luke Walton said Brandon Ingram (groin strain) told him he’s feeling a bit better, but there’s been no discussion about when he’ll return. Ingram will be evaluated over the weekend and we’ll have a better idea how long he’ll be out.
Mike Bresnahan: Brandon Ingram will miss at least two games with a strained groin, as per Lakers’ medical update. The earliest he would return is Sunday against Cleveland. (The rest period of at least one week is retroactive to an MRI exam conducted yesterday, Lakers say.)
Bill Oram: Brandon Ingram is out tonight in San Antonio. Luke Walton says he still has pain in groin. Officially stained left hip flexor.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Brandon Ingram will undergo an MRI on his strained left hip flexor on Sunday in Los Angeles.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Brandon Ingram won't return with left groin tightness.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Brandon Ingram (groin) is active and will play against OKC.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Brandon Ingram (ankle) is out against Indiana.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Lonzo Ball's knee remains sore and he was unable to go through a light practice on Tuesday. It appears unlikely that Ball will play on Wednesday against OKC. Luke Walton expects Brandon Ingram to play as long as there are no setbacks with his sprained ankle after he went through 5-on-0 practice today.
Ohm Youngmisuk: Brandon Ingram (ankle sprain) has been ruled out against Memphis.
Brandon Ingram suffered a sprained left ankle in the first quarter and after re-taping it, tried to return in the second. He played three minutes before returning to the locker room for a second time, which prompted the Lakers to rule him out for the remainder of the game. The injury put a damper on what was an excellent start for Ingram who had four points, six rebounds, and five assists before being kept out. After the game, Luke Walton gave an update on Ingram, calling him day-to-day for the time being, via the team’s Twitter account: “Mild ankle sprain, it’s day-to-day. I think they took him back to get some X-rays, I don’t know that part of it. But he’s day-to-day right now.”
Mike Trudell: Brandon Ingram on his ankle: “My foot got twisted in his (Devin Harris) legs. I couldn’t really push off on it. I’ll see how it feels tomorrow.”
Ohm Youngmisuk: Brandon Ingram has a mild left ankle sprain and is out for the game.
Bill Oram: Least surprising update of the year - Brandon Ingram will be in the lineup tonight.
Brandon Ingram (right quad contusion and left quad tendinitis) says he has been relatively injury free and is learning to play through pain. He is listed as questionable tomorrow but all signs point to him returning. "He looked really good," Lakers coach Luke Walton said. "I almost [jokingly] fined him for looking so good today for not playing last night but he was running around the court. We didn't do a ton today... the running that he did do, we had some 5-on-0, he had some explosions down the lane where he said he felt good."
Mike Trudell: Brandon Ingram (right quadriceps contusion and left quadriceps tendinitis) is out tonight for a second straight game. LAL down 3 starters with Lopez and Ball out as well.
Mike Trudell: Injury update: Brandon Ingram is out tonight with a right quadriceps contusion and left quadriceps tendinitis.
Tania Ganguli: Lakers announce Brandon Ingram will be available to play tomorrow in Vegas. Lonzo Ball (ankle) and Andrew Bogut (groin) are questionable.

But now things are different, as he explained: “Returning to the national team after five years is an incredible feeling. Of course, I’m older now, I’m 36 years old. I was fresher back then, but I still enjoy playing basketball. That’s why I’m happy to be back”.
