Sixers to sign Rayjon Tucker
Shams Charania: The Philadelphia 76ers are planning to sign swingman Rayjon Tucker to a two-way contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Tucker is expected to join the 76ers‘ G League affiliate (Delaware Blue Coats) in the Orlando bubble.

The Nets have signed F/C Norvel Pelle, his agent, BJ Bass, confirmed to SNY’s Ian Begley. Pelle will need to clear health and safety protocols before the signing is official. The 6-10, 231-pound big man played for the Philadelphia 76ers last season after spending numerous years playing in the G-League and overseas.
Rockets acquire Kevin Porter

The Houston Rockets today announced they have acquired guard Kevin Porter Jr. from Cleveland in exchange for a protected second round pick. Porter (6-4, 203) was the 30th overall pick by the Cavaliers in the 2019 NBA Draft following his freshman season at USC. As a rookie last season, the 20-year-old appeared in 50 games with three starts while averaging 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 23.2 minutes per game.

“I think a lot of our 3s are assisted,” Alex Caruso said. “I don’t know what the numbers are on that, but I’d be willing (to think) that a lot of them are created from somebody drawing help and getting open shots. Just guys being open and shooting in rhythm — that’s part of what makes us a great team. “We have so many guys who get to that paint and draw attention and so many guys who complement and can stretch the floor. I’d say everybody but maybe (Montrezl Harrell) is stretching to (the) 3-point line — that plays minutes. At any given time, you’ve got four, five guys out there that can shoot 3s. That’s really hard to guard.”
Caldwell-Pope, for his part, has learned how to read where Davis and James are when they have the ball and when to move to ensure he remains in their line of passing vision. “I’m right on point when they’re either posting and then looking for the pass out,” Caldwell-Pope said. “Sometimes it’s just the flow of the game, finding those sweet spots. … Just moving and not staying still where they’ll be able to find me.”
