Jonathan Feigen: The Rockets have waived William McDowell-White to create the roster spot for Ryan Anderson, a person with knowledge of the decision said. That puts the roster at the camp maximum of 20 players.
Olgun Uluc: FWIW: I’m told William McDowell-White’s contract with the Houston Rockets was converted to a two-way, then back to an Exhibit 10. It’s a little loophole so the Rockets can add addendums to the contract and sign additional players.
Salman Ali: The Rockets announced today the team has signed rookie free agent guards Chris Clemons, Shamorie Ponds, and William McDowell-White. All three players will represent the Rockets at NBA Summer League 2019, which begins on Friday

Rachel Nichols: I’m told Kyrie was in a walking boot and using crutches after spraining his ankle during today’s Nets-Bucks Game 4. Steve Nash says that x-rays on the ankle were negative and that Kyrie will undergo further testing/evaluation tomorrow.
Tim Bontemps: Pat Connaughton says he “negotiated” with the training staff to avoid getting stitches to get back in the game faster. Said he may have to get them at some point, but glue was used instead to fix the cut over his left eye.
Mirjam Swanson: Ty Lue on his assistant coach/good buddy Chauncey Billups: “I wanted to coach with him when I was in Cleveland but he didn’t want to coach. I tease him all the time, he missed out on $15-18 million dollars” because he would’ve been a head coach for a few seasons already.
