Anthony Chiang: Erik Spoelstra said Tyler Herro and Jae Crowder went through a full practice today. Jimmy Butler did not practice today, but he is feeling better. Herro's availability for tomorrow's game will be determined based on how he feels over next 24 hours.
David Furones: Spoelstra did say it was looking optimistic for Herro but no timeline. “And I don’t want him talking about a timeline. He’ll come up with something crazy — like this weekend or something.”
Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro plans to ditch the walking boot on his right foot next week. “Hopefully by Wednesday and go from there,” Herro said on Friday. “Whenever I’m feeling right I’ll be able to come back out and play. I’m trying to get back and play as soon as possible."
Herro clarified his injury is a foot issue, not right ankle soreness as the team had previously listed. “There’s no more pain at this point,” Herro said. "Just being able to rest it and make sure the problem doesn’t come back up.'
Miami HEAT: #MIAvsPOR UPDATE: Coach Spo says Andre Iguodala, Jae Crowder and Solomon Hill will be available for tomorrow’s game vs the Blazers. Tyler Herro (ankle) and Jimmy Butler (shoulder) both missed today’s practice. Coach Spo doesn’t expect them to play tomorrow.
Anthony Chiang: Erik Spoelstra says James Johnson (illness) and Tyler Herro (ankle) are out tonight vs. Pistons. Kelly Olynyk (knee) will play.
