A DVT can become a pulmonary embolism. That’s what Chris Bosh had. It can kill you. He’ll need to take a blood-thinning med for a few months. You can’t play while on that med. (…) If Brandon Ingram gets 2nd DVT, he’d need to be on a blood-thinning med long-term to prevent a possibly lethal clot. You can’t play while on that med because you’re at risk of a bleeding episode. Hopefully this is a one-time thing. Otherwise, he may be in same boat as Chris Bosh. 3 years ago – via Twitter AlexKennedyNBA Alex Kennedy: I don't mean to be a downer regarding the Brandon Ingram DVT news. League addresses Rajon Rondo allegations The NBA on Monday said it’s in the process of gathering more information after veteran point guard Rajon Rondo allegedly threatened a woman with a gun at her house last week. The woman filed for an emergency protective order against Rondo on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN’s Baxter Holmes. The order was granted later that day. Her allegations were made in the request for the EPO. 2 hours ago – via ESPN Law, Top Rumors Top Rumors, Law, Rajon Rondo, Cleveland Cavaliers
According to the EPO obtained by ESPN, the woman called former interim Louisville Metro Police Chief Yvette Gentry, who eventually arrived at the house. However, the woman said Rondo wouldn’t allow Gentry inside. The woman said she locked herself in the house with the kids, and Gentry eventually told her Rondo had left, and she had his gun. The woman filed for the protective order Friday, saying in it that she feared for the safety of the children and that Rondo has a history of “volatile, erratic [and] explosive behavior.” 2 hours ago – via ESPN Law, Uncategorized Law, Rajon Rondo, Cleveland Cavaliers
The order was granted later Friday, with a judge saying Rondo must stay at least 500 feet away from the woman and the children, and must temporarily surrender any firearms to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. NBA spokesman Mike Bass told ESPN’s Malika Andrews that the league is aware of what allegedly happened and is “in the process of gathering more information.” Messages left by ESPN to Rondo’s representatives weren’t immediately returned. 2 hours ago – via ESPN Law, Malika Andrews, Mike Bass, Uncategorized Law, Malika Andrews, Mike Bass, Rajon Rondo, Cleveland Cavaliers
According to the statement, Rondo, while holding a gun, “began yelling and cursing” at their son and “asking why he was afraid of him.” Eventually, Rondo was “yelling and cursing at both children, demanding to know why they were scared of him and effectively holding them at gun point,” Bachelor said in her statement. Bachelor said Rondo’s parents arrived but he “could not be calmed down,” though he did let the children back in the house. Gentry also arrived, according to Bachelor’s statement, and Rondo “blocked her from entering the home” by standing between her and the door. 2 hours ago – via Brooks Holton and Brett Dawson @ USA Today Sports Law, Uncategorized Law, Rajon Rondo, Cleveland Cavaliers
Deandre Ayton will be a restricted free agent this offseason after the Phoenix Suns were unable to sign him to an extension. “Going into this season, Deandre Ayton did not feel valued by this Phoenix organization,” said Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday. “They were not able to come to an agreement on a rookie extension. He saw many of the top players of his class get extensions. He wanted a max deal. He would not move off that. “So now he moves toward restricted free agency this summer where now he’ll have some more options. But ultimately Phoenix can still match an offer out there and keep him if he signs an offer sheet with another team.” 2 hours ago – via RealGM Free Agency, Uncategorized Free Agency, DeAndre Ayton, Phoenix Suns
“Deandre Ayton is going to get a max contract in the marketplace somewhere. Phoenix really has to look at the allocation financially of how they want to distribute salaries. “The relationship with Monty Williams had been one of the real benefits. I think their ability to work together and build a relationship. It will be interesting how that season ended impacts this. It will really be one of the stories of this offseason because there are a lot of teams figuring out how to acquire [Ayton].” 2 hours ago – via RealGM Free Agency, Monty Williams, Uncategorized Free Agency, Monty Williams, DeAndre Ayton, Phoenix Suns
LeBron James: Luka Doncic is my favorite player under 25 There has been no shortage of young superstars emerging in the NBA this year.
