JD Shaw: Four-year NBA veteran Sindarius Thornwell has committed to play summer league with the Chicago Bulls, league source tells @HoopsRumors. Thornwell holds 160 games of experience, making past stops with the Clippers, Pelicans and Magic.
JD Shaw: The Philadelphia 76ers are adding Cassius Winston and Justin Smith to their summer league roster, sources tell @HoopsRumors. Winston, 24, has spent time with the Wizards on a two-way contract, while Smith, 23, briefly played for the Raptors’ G League affiliate this past season.
Eric Koreen: Dillon Brooks is the lone player on Canada Basketball’s original list of 14 commits with an unexcused absence. Nick Nurse will talk to him in days to come, but interpretation early on is he will now need to earn a spot on future teams rather than be guaranteed one.
