Khobi Price: The Orlando Magic have waived Joel Ayayi, per league source. Ayayi signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Magic on Sept. 12. Orlando’s signed Aleem Ford and Zavier Simpson, putting the team’s roster at the offseason max of 20 players heading into training camp.
Bobby Marks: Dean Wade was on a $1.9M non-guaranteed contract that now becomes guaranteed. He signed a four-year $5.6M contract in June 2020. Only $375K of that amount was guaranteed. Cleveland now has 14 guaranteed contracts.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and forward Dean Wade have agreed to a three-year, $18.5 million contract extension, sources tell cleveland.com. Wade will receive $16.5 million guaranteed, sources say. He can earn $2 million more in incentives.
Some members of the Celtics organization first became aware of the relationship in July, sources said. At that time, team leadership was led to believe by both parties that the relationship was consensual. But sources said that the woman recently accused Udoka of making unwanted comments toward her — leading the team to launch a set of internal interviews.
