KC Johnson: The Bulls are declining the $3M team option on Ryan Arcidiacono, per source. Arcidiacono could be a candidate to return on a minimum deal, although he also is expected to draw interest in free agency.
KC Johnson: Bulls hold team option on final season of Ryan Arcidiacono's deal, per source. Along with partial guarantees in Young/Satoransky deals, Bulls can still be in position to play the 2021 cap space game.
Even while Arcidiacono has been a pleasant surprise, he's still playing on a one-year contract, so his NBA career will be in limbo this summer. He said he's not thinking about the future. "I try to take it day by day and go from there, but I think I've played well enough that something will happen," Arcidiacono said. "But you've just got to stay humble and stay hungry and keep taking advantage of the last 12 games and take it one day at a time."
Not surprisingly, Bulls coach Jim Boylen was emphatic when asked if Ryan Arcidiacono has proved himself to be an NBA player. He was a two-way player last season, spending most of his time with the Windy City Bulls. "Absolutely. Archie's a winning player," Boylen said. "He has improved. When he got here, he didn't look at the rim. He'd get in the paint and he wouldn't look at the rim. Everybody would pull back and he didn't want to shoot it. He has learned how to finish.”
Ryan Arcidiacono, who played on a two-way contract with the Bulls season and for their summer-league team, has agreed to a partially guaranteed deal to return, a source confirmed to the Tribune on Saturday.
Arcidiacono will compete to make the NBA roster in training camp with the likes of guard Antonius Cleveland, whom the Bulls claimed off waivers last week. The Bulls are carrying 14 guaranteed contracts.
Shams Charania: Guard Ryan Arcidiacono will sign a partially guaranteed one-year deal to re-sign with the Bulls, league sources tell Yahoo.
Vincent Goodwill: The Bulls have officially sent qualifying offers to Zach LaVine in addition to David Nwaba and Ryan Arcidiacono, making them restricted free agents
The Chicago Bulls announced today the team has signed guard Ryan Arcidiacono (ar-chee-dee-ACK-uh-no) to a Two-Way contract. In accordance with team policy, terms of the contract were not announced. Arcidiacono (6-3, 195) appeared in five games for the Bulls’ Summer League squad this year and averaged 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.80 steals and 24.0 minutes per contest.
The Bulls are continuing to fill out the margins of their roster, agreeing to sign former Villanova point guard Ryan Arcidiacono to a two-way contract, a source with knowledge of the agreement told The Athletic. Arcidiacono played for the Bulls' Summer League team in Las Vegas after going undrafted in 2016 and playing last season in the G League with the Austin Spurs. Arcidiacono had previously signed a deal to play the upcoming season in Italy with JuveCaserta Basket, but the team was recently excluded from the Italian league Serie A due to financial concerns.

NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo was in Greece for a meeting with the country’s prime minister Thursday and a special ceremony to bestow Greek citizenship on his mother Veronica and younger brother Alex. Antetokounmpo, who led the Milwaukee Bucks to the NBA championship in July, attended the ceremony at the official residence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The 26-year-old Antetokounmpo was born in Athens, the son of Nigerian immigrants. He was granted Greek citizenship in 2013, allowing him to travel to the United States and join the Bucks later that year.
“We always felt Greek, but now we have an official stamp and we are happy,” Antetokounmpo told reporters after the ceremony. “Alex and my mom are Greek citizens now.” Antetokounmpo also traveled to Greece in August with his brother Thanassis, carrying the Larry O’Brien NBA championship trophy. He took the trophy to the ancient Acropolis in Athens to celebrate with members of his family.
