Eric Nehm: Wesley Matthews went down on a defensive possession. Managed to get himself back up and hobbled down the floor. And then the Bucks just continued to play. No take foul. No timeout. Budenholzer finally called a timeout with 30 seconds left in the third quarter.
Eric Nehm: Per @BucksPR, Wesley Matthews has a left knee contusion and will not return to tonight's game.
Jovan Buha: Kyle Kuzma, Marc Gasol and Wesley Matthews are all available vs. New York, per the Lakers’ latest injury report. Lakers’ starters: Andre Drummond, Markieff Morris, Kyle Kuzmal, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dennis Schröder
Mike Trudell: Andre Drummond (right big toe contusion) and Wesley Matthews (neck contusion) are questionable for Tuesday night’s game at the Raptors (played in Tampa). Toronto plays Washington tonight. Kyle Lowry is out, and Fred Van Vleet is questionable for that front end of their B2B.
Budenholzer said there was no specific timetable for Giannis’ return, but don’t read too much into that — he could play Tuesday against the Wizards. “Very very fortunate the league has thought through everything,” Budenholzer said. “He obviously needed some attention and was able to get it.” Also, Wesley Matthews was injured about two minutes into the game. The Bucks never said what happened, and then afterward Budenholzer had this gem: “I think the way it was described to me is maybe just some awareness in his quad, groin area.” He definitely did not say soreness. He said awareness. I’ve literally never heard anything like it.
Scott Agness: Darren Collison will miss his third straight game. Wesley Matthews (hamstring) is available.
A. Sherrod Blakely: Pacers head coach Nate McMillan says his starting backcourt of Wes Matthews (hamstring) and Darren Collison (groin) will be game-time decisions tomorrow night vs the #Celtics.

Dwain Price: Carlisle on Wesley Matthews: "He's doing OK. His foot's still bothering him a little bit, so we're hoping that he'll be OK tomorrow. But we're watching it very closely." Also, Ryan Broekhoff missed today's practice with an illness and is questionable for the game against the GSW.
Tim Bontemps: Rick Carlisle says Dennis Smith Jr. is out tonight against the Celtics with a right wrist injury. "It's not right yet. He's not going to go." Says Smith hurt his wrist against Memphis. Wes Matthews, though, will play.
Dwain Price: Carlisle on Barea (groin), Matthews (hamstring) and Powell (knee) not playing tonight against Memphis: "These guys are all considered day-to-day, which is good. But at this point and time the smart thing to do is to sit Barea, Powell and Matthews tonight." @Dallas Mavericks
Eddie Sefko: Dwight Powell (knee effusion) also out tonight against Memphis, per Rick Carlisle. Wesley Matthews to get a workout in to see if he can go with his hamstring.
Jeff Wilson: Wesley Matthews aggravates left hamstring and leaves the game. His return is questionable. With Mavs up 16, it would be questionable if he returns.
Mark Followill: Mavs game notes currently list Wesley Matthews as doubtful for tomorrow night's game in Chicago (left hamstring strain)
During Sunday’s 10th Annual Festival De Los Mavs at Gilley’s, Dallas Mavericks guard Wesley Matthews said he has been cleared to resume regular basketball activities without any restrictions. Matthews recently had an MRI after sustaining a fracture to his right proximal fibula during the Mavs’ 114-80 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Mar. 10. Asked if he can do whatever he wants in regards to basketball, Matthews said: “Yes I can. Which is a dangerous thing. Now I’m going to go try and find a pickup game.”
Dwain Price: “It’s probably going to be the end of the season before he would be ready to play, so he’s likely done for the year. I talked to him last night. He’s in good spirits.” -- Carlisle on Wesley Matthews
Dwain Price: Carlisle on Wesley Matthews: "Our doctors said, ‘Hey, we should make 100 percent sure, take an X-ray,’ and the X-ray revealed a very small shadow and then they confirmed it yesterday on an MRI.”
Dwain Price: Rick Carlisle on Wesley Matthews: “He’s not even in a brace or a cast or anything. It’s just something where he can’t play As fractures go, it’s a pretty minor one. But it’s a fracture on your leg, so you can’t play.”
Dwain Price: Dirk on Wesley Matthews: "We feel bad for him, we think about him. But like I said, he’s a warrior. He’ll be back next season for sure.”
Shams Charania: Sources: Dallas Mavericks guard Wesley Matthews has suffered a stress fracture in his right leg and will likely miss remainder of the season. Matthews underwent further testing today and will rest and rehab the injury.
Dwain Price: Rick Carlisle said guard Wesley Matthews (right leg injury) will not be going on the upcoming 4-game road trip to the Knicks, Raptors, Nets and Pelicans. Matthews said he'll have an MRI tomorrow.

Matthews suffered a right strained calf in the first half of Monday’s 100-78 loss at Air Canada Centre to the Toronto Raptors and did not play any more. After the game, when approached by a media member to discuss the injury, a terse Matthews said: "Unless you want to talk about the game, I don’t have any answers.’’
Coach Rick Carlisle didn’t sound like Matthews’ injury was anything alarming. But he also didn’t wave any pompoms, and didn’t know if the eight-year veteran will be ready to play in Wednesday’s game in Washington, DC, against the Washington Wizards. "I believe it’s a mild strain,’’ coach Rick Carlisle said. "I didn’t want to risk it bringing him back. We’ll see how he’s doing tomorrow and then on Wednesday. I think he’ll be listed day-to-day, but we’ll see.’’
Eddie Sefko: Wesley Matthews (right calf strain) will not return. That's actually good news that it's not same Achilles he tore two years ago.
Earl K. Sneed: Wesley Matthews says he will play tonight vs. OKC after missing two games with a hip injury. #DALvsOKC
The Mavs are hopeful guard Wesley Matthews (hip) will be able to play Sunday’s against Oklahoma City. He has missed the past two games.

Earl K. Sneed: Rick Carlisle says Wesley Matthews is OUT tonight and Thursday night with a right hip strain. Andrew Bogut will play. #DALvsNYK
Matthews' timetable is more nebulous. Matthews tore his Achilles with the Trail Blazers last March and has been recovering ever since. Even though he told Mavs Moneyball he would be ready for the season opener, it's been unlikely that he would make that initial game, given the nature of his injury. We spoke with a doctor who treats Achilles in July who explained what exactly Matthews is going through. "Wes is going to take a little longer," Carlisle said. "He's not going to want to tell you that and we're going to have to fight to keep him off the court, but we've got to make sure we do this the right way and that he's really 100 percent healthy before getting in."
As for a timeline? Say, Christmas? "I'd say there's a possibility -- I'd say it's a definite maybe," Carlisle said, drawing a few laughs. "It could be sooner. It's hard to say. He was cleared for an increase in activity a week ago. His court activity has been ramped up some. He will participate in certain aspects of training camp but nothing live to start off."
