Andre Iguodala on Kevin Durant: He should stay in Brooklyn
Andre Iguodala gave his perspective on Kevin Durant’s situation on the Point Forward podcast, naming the reasons why the two-time NBA champion Durant, who won both titles together with Iguodala on the Warriors, should stay in Brooklyn. “I think he should stay in Brooklyn, it’s such a big market, it’s good for the game and just figure out how to make it work like everybody grow up and make it work. That’s how I feel about the situation,” Iguodala shared his perspective.
Another reason why Durant should stay according to Iguodala is the length of the contract the 12-time NBA All-Star Durant is still on with the Nets. “This is a situation where it’s either, look, man just come out here and play or don’t play because you got 4 years, we got you for a while so it’s not like you’re on an expiring contract and then you can just take off a year and we just give up a year,” added Iguodala.
Carmelo Anthony to produce documentary on his life and career
Carmelo Anthony has teamed with Westbrook Studios and Falkon Entertainment on Seven, a four-part docuseries, which Anthony’s company Creative 7 will also produce. Named after Anthony’s signature jersey, Seven will chronicle the life and career of the 10-time NBA All-Star and entrepreneur, starting with his childhood, diving into the good, the bad, and sometimes ugly experiences and learnings that shaped him into the man and the athlete that he is today.
Seven promises to reveal the truth behind notable moments throughout Anthony’s career, many of which he has never spoken about publicly before. The series will also take an introspective look at his life and who he is today — at practice, after games, with his family — through the lens of what it means to be an athlete, a celebrity, and most importantly, a human being.

Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck on next season: We can win this thing
“We can win this thing, possibly,” Wyc Grousbeck told WBZ’s Dan Roche. “We have a chance to contend. That’s their words. They’re burning with a desire to make it come true.” The Celtics are going all-in on the roster, and that includes ownership as the payroll enters the luxury tax.
There are still some pieces that need to be filled — mostly the Celtics’ open roster spots — but Boston’s rotation is firmly set with Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari having their roles as contributors. “We think our roster right now is a strongly contending team,” Grousbeck said. “Ime loves the group, Brad loves the group, I love the group. Then the group is very cohesive.”
“I felt we were two steps from Mt. Everest then we fell off the thing” Grousbeck said. “We were up 2-1 in the Finals. … I felt like we were almost there. We got beaten, maybe were tired.”
Sam Merrill signed two-year, partially guaranteed deal with Kings
Sam Merrill signed a two-year, $3.71M contract with the Sacramento Kings. He’ll make $1.84M in 2022-23 and $2.00M in 2023-24. The first year of his contract is partially guaranteed for $150,000 while his second year is fully non-guaranteed.
