Maurice Ager, Grammy Award winner. The former Michigan State and NBA guard likes the sound of that but never imagined it possible until this week. The Grammy board announced that his single “Far From Home” is officially on the ballot for nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. “It’s a pleasant surprise, a blessing,” Ager told the Detroit Free Press on Thursday. “The best things happen when you don’t expect them. It’s something I’ve worked at for a long time, I’ve put a lot of passion and energy into music. Hopefully this is paving the way for other athletes who want to get into the business.”
