NBA rumors: Celtics interested in Chinanu Onuaku?

Chinanu Onuaku is enjoying a breakout season on every level. After beating local powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli league, he was named MVP of the season and he has already a date with the Celtics. The Cavs are interested in him, but the Bnei Herzliya star center is expected in Boston for a workout at the end of June.

Adam Johnson: RGV Vipers alum Chinanu Onuaku has signed a G League contract according to a league source. He will be draft eligible on Saturday.
The Portland Trail Blazers signed three players on Tuesday including a popular Northwest connection. The Blazers added former Oregon State standout guard Gary Payton II, along with forward Cameron Oliver, and center Chinanu Onuaku and guard Gary Payton II, the team announced. The 6-foot-3 Payton has played 29 games in the last two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers. He has averaged 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
The Dallas Mavericks have waived Chinanu Onuaku as expected four days after acquiring the center in a trade with Houston.
