David Hardisty: Stephen Silas confirms that Christian Wood will start tonight. Danuel House also will return.
Wes Goldberg: Warriors' injury report is clean (other than Chriss and Thompson). For Houston, Christian Wood is listed as questionable, though he's expected to play. Wall, Oladipo, Gordon and Tucker are out.
Salman Ali: Christian Wood and Danuel House are both out tonight, per Stephen Silas. Both are possibilities to play tomorrow.
Alykhan Bijani: #Rockets Injury/Status: Dante Exum (NWT-R Calf Strain) Eric Gordon (Out-R Groin Strain) Danuel House (Out-R Knee Contusion) Rodions Kurucs (NWT–L Oblique Strain) Davis Nwaba (Questionable–R Wrist Strain) Victor Oladipo (Out–R Quad; Injury Maintenance) PJ Tucker (NWT) John Wall (Out–L Knee Contusion) Christian Wood (Out–R Ankle Sprain)
The Athletic understands that Houston wants to keep Wood out until after the break. The Rockets have erred on the side of caution with their free-agent splash, knowing Wood has had previous right ankle issues. They want to avoid a situation similar to what Warriors guard Stephen Curry endured early in his career, repeatedly injuring the same ankle to a point where it required surgery. Sources say Wood is in good spirits and moving in the right direction, walking without a limp and has been able to participate in some defensive sliding drills.
Adam Spolane: Christian Wood says he doesn't know when he'll be able to return. He wants to be able to return before the All Star break, and says his ankle is currently at 80%
Cayleigh Griffin: Christian Wood says that the rehab process has been going great. He's been spending most time working with the training staff, but has also been doing some on the court work.
Shams Charania: Rockets‘ Christian Wood has been diagnosed with a right ankle sprain and will be evaluated on a weekly basis.
The Houston Rockets are concerned that star center Christian Wood could be sidelined for an extended period after injuring his right ankle for the second time in a span of less than three weeks, sources told ESPN.
Wood will have an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury he suffered when he gruesomely rolled his ankle during the third quarter of Thursday's 115-103 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, according to a source.
Adam Spolane: Rockets list Christian Wood as probable for tonight's game against the Blazers Portland has ruled out Zach Collins (ankle), Robert Covington (concussion), C.J. McCollum (foot), and Jusuf Nurkic (wrist). Rodney Hood and Derrick Jones Jr are probable
Jamie Hudson: Rockets Injury Report: Christian Wood (right ankle; sprain) is questionable and Dante Exum (right calf; strain) is out for Thursday’s game vs. Blazers
Adam Spolane: Christian Wood returned to practice today
Mark Berman: Christian Wood (@Christian Wood) “I’m back. I feel 100% and I’m ready to go tomorrow...I tried to play on my ankle after I injured it. I don’t know if it was a good idea or a bad idea, but I had to do what’s best for my team.I just needed a little bit of time off just to let it heal” pic.twitter.com/jj4pvtKU8m
Jonathan Feigen: Christian Wood is out for the Rockets with an excused absence but still dealing with the sprained ankle. Rockets starters: Wall, Oladipo, Tate, Tucker and Cousins.
Adam Wexler: #Rockets Christian Wood was asked how scary his ankle was and how much does it hurt now. "It was very scary and I'm in a lot of pain." He added they told him not to come back in the game, but he knows his team needs him. Said it's swelling up now. @SportsTalk790

K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago joined the Mully & Haugh Show on Tuesday morning to discuss LaVine’s future. “The safe bet is still that Zach will return (to Chicago),” Johnson said. He offered that with a caveat though. “I’m just reporting what I was hearing at the Combine – and that is multiple people connected to other teams, agents, etc., the chatter at that Combine, the representation of that chatter is that Zach is very much in play,” Johnson said. “Now that said, the Bulls are still very confident in their ability to re-sign Zach LaVine. Michael Reinsdorf has said it. Arturas Karnisovas has said it. They still have the power to pay him more than any other franchise.”
