Duane Rankin: Devin Booker (protocols) OUT for tomorrow’s game at #Bucks. Didn’t travel with team. Cam Johnson (right quad contusion) OUT as well. #Suns
Gerald Bourguet: Monty Williams confirms Cam Johnson sustained that left ankle sprain during the final minute of the Suns' loss to Miami on Saturday. "It's all on me. I wish I wouldn't have had him in that position. Period. But we're thankful that it wasn't as bad as it could've been."
Kellan Olson: Cam Johnson is back up after staying down on the floor for a good minute. Walking on his own. Did not look good on the replay given it was unclear what happened.
Duane Rankin: "He's fine. He was ready to go and we found out that same day. It wasn't anything earth shattering about the whole deal. He was just sick." #Suns coach Monty Williams on Cam Johnson, who missed Game 6 of WCF Wednesday with a non-COVID illness.
Chris Haynes: Phoenix Suns say Cameron Johnson is out tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers with a non-COVID-19 illness.
Kellan Olson: Suns center Deandre Ayton (left knee soreness) is questionable for tomorrow's game against the Spurs. Cam Johnson and Abdel Nader remain out.
Duane Rankin: "He's straight. Cam's a warrior. He's going to fight through anything." Jevon Carter on Cam Johnson, who suffered a nasal fracture in yesterday's practice. Will be available for #Suns game tonight against San Antonio.
Kellan Olson: Cam Johnson (low back/right hip contusion) and Deandre Ayton (right hip soreness) have been added to the injury report and are questionable. Aron Baynes (rib contusion) also added and is probable.
Gina Mizell: #Suns rookie Cam Johnson (calf) is out tonight at Denver. Williams unofficially called his status “day-to-day.”
Kellan Olson: Suns announce that Ty Jerome is out indefinitely due to a right ankle sprain he suffered in practice on Monday. He will be re-evaluated over the next 2-4 weeks. Injury report also has Cam Johnson out for Friday night in Denver.
Duane Rankin: Rookie Ty Jerome (right ankle sprain) remains out for Friday's game at Denver. He was on crutches and wearing a boot last night. Rookie Cam Johnson (left calf soreness) is "TBD" according to the #Suns notes. I got a feeling he'll play against the #Nuggets, but we'll see.
Kellan Olson: Ty Jerome (right ankle sprain) and Cam Johnson (left calf soreness) are both out for tomorrow's season opener. They are the only two players on the Suns' injury report.
June 28, 2022 | 8:15 pm EDT Update
Adrian Wojnarowski: The Knicks are trading center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to the Pistons, sources tell ESPN. The Knicks will unload $19M more in salary, clearing the way for cap space to try and sign free agent guard Jalen Brunson.
Jon Krawczynski: Really nice prestart to free agency for Wolves to get Taurean Prince wrapped up. Valuable piece as a leader and do-it-all forward. The second year on the deal is nonguaranteed, sources tell @TheAthletic. @Adrian Wojnarowski first on agreement.
Bobby Marks: Prince is extension eligible because he is still under contract by Minnesota. He would have become a free agent later this week if a deal had not been reached. There is no trade restriction because he signed a 2 year deal.
Michael Scotto: Sources: The Cleveland Cavaliers won’t tender a qualifying offer to center Moses Brown, @HoopsHype has learned. The 7-foot-1, 22-year-old center will become an unrestricted free agent. Brown could be an intriguing development option for NBA teams around the league.
JD Shaw: Point guard Jared Harper will be playing summer league with the New Orleans Pelicans, @HoopsRumors has learned. Harper signed a two-way deal in March and will soon be a free agent. He averaged 21.2 points and 7.2 assists in the G League.
