Veteran guard Dorell Wright announced his retirement from basketball at the age of 34. Wright has spent 12 seasons in the NBA. He played six years for the Miami Heat, winning a championship in 2006, then he had stints with Golden State, Philadelphia, Portland and again Miami in the 2016 playoffs.
Dorrell Wright: Reflecting on my 16 year career, something I’ve been doing more than half my life, I walk away from the game of basketball with a huge smile on my face and with the feeling of completion. The game blessed me with the ability to support my family and friends, to give back to my community and to use my voice & expertise for the next generations to come.
