Tim Bontemps: Jayson Tatum hurt his left ankle in the final seconds of Team USA’s win, after making a really nice play to drop the ball off to Khris Middleton on a break for what wound up being a game-winning play. Hopefully it looked worse than it winds up being.
Adam Himmelsbach: Stevens says Tatum and Smart trending upward but both still sore. Tatum further along than Smart.
Tim Bontemps: Brad Stevens indicates it is likely Jayson Tatum will play tonight, but says he will be out there in shorter stints than usual.
Tim Bontemps: Celtics say Aron Baynes and Gordon Hayward are both questionable for tonight’s game against the Spurs, while Jayson Tatum is doubtful after taking a hard fall late in last night’s loss in Charlotte and Al Horford remains out to rest his knee.
Steve Bulpett: Jayson Tatum's back injury doesn't appear to be too bad. He's waiting on his exam back in Boston, but when I asked him if he's going to try to play Sunday against San Antonio, he said, "If they let me."
Brian Robb: Rozier and Theis are out due to illness tonight. Tatum (shoulder) and Smart (illness) are expected to play, per Celtics.
Gary Washburn: Jayson Tatum participated in practice and is expected to play Thursday vs. #Kings. #Celtics
According to Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, Tatum underwent tests after missing Saturday's practice. He was cleared to practice two days later after the imaging showed no serious damage. "Jayson's X-rays and MRI whatever came back looking good," Stevens said after Monday's practice. "I don't know what officially he was diagnosed as but he went through most of practice today and he'll be at least questionable, probably probable, for tomorrow."
Sean Grande: Unless something happens in warmups. Jayson Tatum will play tonight. Al Horford is out. So, there you go.
Steve Bulpett: Celtics will be listing @Jayson Tatum as questionable for tomorrow night's game v. Charlotte. ... MRI must have revealed no major problem with his ankle.
Abby Chin: Jayson Tatum heading to the locker room with team trainer Art Horne. Stay tuned. #CelticsTalk

Tragedy has struck the Colorado men’s basketball family. According to a news release from the Department of Defense, Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Tresse King, the mother of former Buffaloes star George King, died on Tuesday while deployed in Kuwait. No details were released other than saying King died “in a noncombat-related incident” at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
King recently passed through Boulder while making his way to Portland, where he was set to play for the Trailblazers’ NBA Summer League team. Head coach Tad Boyle shared a lunch with King, and on Thursday on behalf of the entire program Boyle expressed his condolences to the King family.
