Brian Mahoney: Kyrie and the Nets had already both been fined $25,000 in December by the NBA after he wouldn't do media during media week. You may notice a pattern developing here.
Malika Andrews: Kyrie Irving and the Nets have been fined $25K for not speaking to reporters, which is a violation of league rules. Irving has yet to speak to reporters since the beginning of training camp.
Jay King: Kyrie Irving on his fine: “Well deserved.” Took full responsibility for his actions, but also noted of Jamal Murray, “You just don’t play basketball like that. ... it’s just petty, it’s immature. But we’ll see him again though.”

Law Murray: Tyronn Lue says that Rajon Rondo’s “pace” is very important, especially with Leonard out. Sounds like he’ll continue in a similar role tomorrow as we saw in Game 1 yesterday. “Rondo brings more than scoring and shooting… we need all of the other intangibles that he brings.”
