Cleveland has two open roster spots, so they could sign an additional big man to a 10-day contract, but their luxury tax situation would make that pretty costly. Lue is being patient about saying he wants to add another body. "Just got to see how serious Larry’s situation is and kind of go from there," Lue said. "But right now we got what we got and we just gotta go with it."
Nance was hobbling when Tristan Thompson subbed in for him with 4:15 left in the fourth quarter. He said he collided with Denver's Gary Harris and "hyperextended" his knee. However, he is expected to play Sunday for the first time since since Dec. 20 after missing 16 games with a bone bruise in his left knee. Last season, he missed 10 games in January and February with a sore right knee. “The timing of it is obviously not ideal,” Nance said. “The same thing kind of happened last year, I don’t even know if I have that much time to prepare, I don’t even know if the other guys have accepted. But I’m kind of sitting, waiting on it, but I think this year might be out of the cards.”

The Lakers expect Nance to return in about two weeks.
The odds appear high he will stick considering his production and Nance’s absence. Though Nance has recently worked out on a weight-bearing treadmill, the Lakers expect him to miss four more weeks.
