LA Clippers forward Marcus Morris is listed as out for Tuesday's season opener against the Lakers because of right knee soreness. Bill Doyle: Of the injured Celtics, Kyrie Irving and Marcus Morris are the most likely to play Sunday against Portland, according to Brad Stevens. Marcus Smart and Shane Larkin aren't as close to returning.
A. Sherrod Blakely: The #Celtics Marcus Smart will start for Jaylen Brown who is out with leg injury. Also, no Marcus Morris (left knee) or Semi Ojeleye (back).
A. Sherrod Blakely: Marcus Morris said as of now, he’s not likely to be in the lineup for the #Hornets game on Wednesday. Also said there’s a chance he will get another prp injection sometime this week.
Marc D'Amico: #NEBHInjuryReport: Daniel Theis (broken nose) is questionable for Wednesday night's game against the Miami Heat. Marcus Morris (sore knee) is ruled out.
“Really hoping to play Christmas [against the Washington Wizards],” he said before Friday night’s game against the Utah Jazz. “Maybe a game before that just to get warmed to it. I will probably be on limited minutes.” Morris said he still doesn’t know the source of the pain, which began shortly after he arrived at training camp upon being found not guilty in his assault trial in Arizona. He said it was almost pain-free when he sustained a bruise that forced him out of the lineup.
