The Sacramento Kings have signed free agent guard Cory Joseph, according to General Manager Vlade Divac.
Sean Cunningham: The Kings were able to free up room for Cory Joseph by rescinding the qualifying offer for Willie Cauley-Stein, league source says. That makes him an unrestricted free agent, granting that wish to the formerly longest tenured Kings player and his agent.
Sean Cunningham: One more note on the Kings landing Cory Joseph... The third year of his deal with Sacramento is partially guaranteed, per league source.
Chris Haynes: Free agent guard Cory Joseph has agreed to a three-year, $37 million deal with the Sacramento Kings, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Free agent guard Cory Joseph has received interest from several teams seeking point-guard help, including Phoenix, Washington, Sacramento and Chicago, league sources said.
The Bulls have an interest in Collison’s backup, Cory Joseph, who earned just under $8 million dollars last season. Joseph could be a starter with the Bulls while 19-year-old Coby White learns the ins and outs of the NBA game, but would he leave a playoff team in Indiana for a contract that averages less than $10 million dollars per season? Probably not. And, that’s the problem the Bulls and most non-playoff teams are facing this summer. They might have to seriously overpay to have a chance at adding players who can help them take a significant step forward next season.
John Gambadoro: Suns not shopping the 6th pick for a veteran point guard as per reports. A few names to keep an eye on in free agency are Cory Joseph, Pat Bev, Darren Collison, TJ McConnell. Look if Suns can come away with a true Power Forward, a starting caliber point guard, a backup big who can shoot and a young point guard to develop (draft) they will be on the right path. There is not unlimited money to spend here!
Adrian Wojnarowski: Indiana’s Cory Joseph will exercise player option on contract for next season and return to Pacers, league source tells ESPN.
