James Edwards III: Per sources, the #Pistons have waived Anthony Lamb, Louis King and LiAngelo Ball.
Shams Charania: LiAngelo Ball is signing a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Detroit Pistons, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
Shams Charania: LiAngelo Ball, the brother of Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball (No. 2 overall pick in 2017) and Hornets No. 3 pick LaMelo Ball, is signing an Exhibit 10 deal, sources said. The Ball brothers are now all signed to NBA contracts.

In November, LiAngelo Ball announced that he was planning on pursuing an NBA G League contract. With just 13 games left in the regular season, the middle Ball brother still hasn’t found a spot on a G League roster. However, he has garnered some interest from teams overseas, including the London Lions of the British Basketball League. In the most recent episode of “Ball In the Family,” LiAngelo revealed that the London Lions had expressed interest in signing him to a contract.

Shams Charania: Sources on @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium: LiAngelo Ball has notified NBA G League teams that he is planning to enter player pool to sign a G League contract. Ball went undrafted in June NBA draft after playing in Lithuania last season.
LaVar Ball says the pathway for LiAngelo Ball to get to the Lakers is a clear one ... and it runs through the new hoops league he created -- THE JBA!! L.A. -- along with the other 29 teams in the NBA -- passed on Gelo in the draft last month ... so now the most famous Ball has a new plan to fix that -- put him in a JBA jersey with LaMelo. "It's not even a yellow brick road," LaVar tells TMZ Sports. "It's a road that he has to take. It's nothing wrong with this."
LiAngelo Ball will play with one of his brothers on a Los Angeles basketball franchise. Unfortunately, it's not Lonzo, it's not the Los Angeles Lakers and it's not in the NBA. LiAngelo will be a part of the Los Angeles Ballers in his dad LaVar's JBA, where he'll team up with younger sibling LaMelo: The middle Ball brother said he just wants to win and is "trying to get better every day" after he went undrafted in the NBA.
LiAngelo Ball says he's going to be a Los Angeles Laker! ... Eventually. We got Lonzo's little bro at LAX on Wednesday ... and we just had to ask about his dad's prediction that Gelo will join up with Zo in the purple and gold. "Yeah, I will," Gelo says. "Probably later. I think I will." Just one problem ... Gelo says nobody from the NBA has called about putting him on their roster -- so sounds like it'll DEFINITELY be later rather than sooner.
LiAngelo Ball chased his dream of making it to the NBA, but has since struggled to garner a Summer League invite as an undrafted free agent, let alone get drafted into the league by the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite devoting so much of his life to this pursuit—and coming up empty thus far—Gelo sounded like a young man at peace with his circumstances during a recent appearance on V103 Atlanta alongside Lonzo Ball and LaVar Ball. “It’s not upsetting at all,” he said. “At the end of the day, I’m only 19. So people acting like it’s the end of the world for me, like I’m 26 or something. Nah, I’m 19. I got other stuff I could do.”
LaVar added that they had to shut down Gelo for the season in order to prepare better for NBA draft combine, pre-draft camps and so on. But he was mad that Melo didn’t get any playing time in the end of the season
Adrian Wojnarowski: Story filed to ESPN with @Jonathan Givony: LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball are in serious discussions to sign professional basketball deals with Lithuanian club Prienu Vytautas. Club plans to decide in next 24-to-48 hours whether to finalize an agreement with the two American teenagers.
LaVar Ball told ESPN that LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed with agent Harrison Gaines, ending any speculation that LaMelo will play college basketball, and the plan is now for both to play on the same team overseas. "I don't care about the money," LaVar said on Thursday morning. "I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team."
LaVar said that Gaines, who also represents Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, has been dealing with various overseas clubs about LiAngelo and LaMelo. Sources told ESPN that there have been several teams in Europe and Asia that have expressed interest. "I don't know the deals and who is offering what," LaVar said. "I'm letting Harrison handle all that, but I know there are a few teams interested. I just need to get them playing again."
Tania Ganguli: Lonzo Ball said he thinks LiAngelo leaving UCLA was the right call. “We talked about it as a family. We all came to an agreement that was the best thing for him.”
LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball have started to explore options to sign internationally, sources told Yahoo Sports. LiAngelo and UCLA parted ways officially on Monday, which marked the start of his preparation for his professional basketball career. Harrison Gaines, the representative for LaMelo, 16, and LiAngelo, 19, started initial contact with overseas teams this week, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Chris Mannix: There has been some reporting over the last couple of days about Damian Lillard interest in playing with Ben Simmons, about his interest in a long-term extension with the team. For whatever it’s worth… From Lillard side, I’m told, none of that’s true, that Lillard has not expressed any interest in acquiring Ben Simmons and that since he’s not eligible for a max extension, yet, there haven’t been those discussions either.
With the Los Angeles Lakers hovering above or below .500 for the first quarter of the season amid overlapping injuries and learning curves with a new roster, Lakers governor Jeanie Buss was asked how the organization would evaluate coach Frank Vogel in his third season. “Until we’re 100 percent healthy, I don’t think you can really make any judgment,” Buss told NBA.com at halftime of the Lakers-Celtics game on Tuesday at Staples Center.
Mark Medina: LeBron James: “I don’t get involved on how many minutes I played, or how many days off. I don’t confine to that. I think when you think negative thoughts and have negative energy, it just creeps into your mind. I feel as young as I’ve ever been.”
Callie Caplan: Nic Claxton on the situation where Luka Doncic drew his fifth tech of the year: “I didn’t say nothing to him, I don’t think. I just kind of got in his face and he took offense to it. He gave me a little shove, but I like that. That keep me going. That’s good.”
