Brandon Rahbar: Mark Daigneault on SGA, who is on the court lightly shooting around right now: "He's on a return to play. A lot of his stuff is in the weight room. He's like an addict. I don't know if we can keep him away from the court. (Laughs). In terms of the time table, I'm not sure."
Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will miss a significant amount of time due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. “Obviously when we’ve got a guy out for maintenance or for rest, it’s easy to be in the moment and wonder why we’re doing that, but I think this makes it very tangible,” Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said Wednesday.
Daigneault was referencing the wear and tear of a condensed 2020-21 schedule which followed a shortened offseason. Gilgeous-Alexander has had two “maintenance” days since the All-Star break, but Wednesday night against the Grizzlies was not one of those. “This one is an injury that we need to now take a look at,” Daigneault said.
Joe Mussatto: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is listed as out tonight with right foot plantar fasciitis. George Hill, Darius Bazley and Josh Hall remain out. It looks like Al Horford will play.
Brandon Rahbar: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will play today. The other four usual starters Lu Dort, Theo Maledon, Darius Bazley and Al Horford are out. Mark Daigneault will wait until closer to game time to announce the starters.
Joe Mussatto: Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be available tonight after missing the last four games with a left knee sprain. Al Horford (rest) is out on the second night of a back-to-back.

Brandon Rahbar: Mark Daigneault says the team is just exercising caution with Shai: “It’s nothing really serious.” Thunder will see how SGA responds to treatment. Seems like it’s nothing to worry about.

Last week, The Post reported that Webber’s return for next year was very much in question. There had been no contract negotiations. There was a feeling that TNT did not want him back and maybe he didn’t want to return.
Nick Friedell: JTA: “I’m a Warrior for life. Regardless if I’m here the rest of my career or I’m just here for another year, this is always going to be a part of my heart and a part of me…I grew up idolizing Larry Hughes, now I get to play with Stephen Curry.”
