NBA rumors: Suns announce Chris Paul trade

The Phoenix Suns today acquired point guard Chris Paul and forward Abdel Nader from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a protected 2022 first-round pick.

Bobby Marks: The Celtics now have 14 guaranteed contracts and a tax bill of $3.8 million if Rodney Purvis is waived. Nader currently has $450K guaranteed that will become full ($1.4M) if he is not waived by August 1. Nader has a July 15 guaranteed date for 2019-20 ($1.62M) and 2020-21 ($1.75M). The Thunder add extra depth on the bench and cash to offset the salary for Nader.

The LAPD posted on Twitter that Bridges was arrested for “intimate partner violence with injury,” a felony, on Wednesday following an incident two days earlier in West Los Angeles, and he was booked on a felony domestic violence warrant. He was released on $130,000 bond and has a July 20 court date. The LAPD said it does not release police reports on domestic violence arrests.
