With Charlotte winning tonight, the Hornets move into seventh, and the Heat, Knicks and Celtics are tied for eighth in the East. Those would be the four play-in tournament teams if the season ended today โ not exactly where Miami and Boston expected to be at this point.
Asked Malik Monk about his increased 3-point percentage and the reason for it: "I just grew up, man, if I'm being honest. I just grew up and started taking film seriously. I started taking everything seriously."
James Borrego on LaMelo coming through in the fourth quarter and his improved play in clutch time: "He's a winner. He makes winning plays. That's the best way I can put it."
I really hope both teams are fully healthy when the Jazz are in Los Angeles to play the Lakers for a couple games (on ESPN) in mid-April. Probably those two games and the Jazz-Nets game in Salt Lake City are the ones Iโm most excited to watch going forward.

Couple of great plays by LaMelo Ball here have allowed Charlotte to get back in front again, after an 11-0 run by Phoenix tied the game. Particularly LaMelo turning a fastbreak dunk for Phoenix into an alley-oop dunk at the other end by immediately flying back up court.
