Now what about a Tyson Fury vs Braun Strowman rematch
It hasn't happened in a while, but Mark Cuban hit the boiling point about NBA officiating on Saturday night. Details here:
In all the postgame chaos, I forgot to tweet this quote from Jalen Brunson on his dislocated right shoulder: "It's a lot better than I thought it would be. It popped out for a second and popped back in. It's a little sore now, but I thought it was a lot worse."
‘This is a management issue’: Mark Cuban criticizes state of NBA refereeing after controversial end to Mavs-Hawks dallasnews.com/sports/maveric…
Crunch time numbers tonight. Mavs outscored 15-7. Shot 3-10 from floor. Hardaway shooting 88% FT in Feb and 81 for season goes 2-4. ATL shoots 5-11. Got to find a way to get this solved

. @Mark Cuban on the state of NBA officiating: “This is a training issue. This is a management issue. Is it as bad as back in Dairy Queen? It literally could be worse.”
Jalen Brunson said after the game his shoulder “isn’t as bad” as he thought it would be. Said it’s feeling better already and he will take it day by day.
Mark Cuban unloaded after the game and the inadvertent whistle. “It’s been a year and a half, maybe more, since I’ve said anything, but it’s just gotten progressively worse,” he said of the current state of officiating. Said “is it worse than Dairy Queen?” More to come.
Someone explain that ending to me please I’m lost
Soooooo what just happened 🤦🏽♂️
Carlisle says Brunson dislocated his shoulder, popped it back in. Brunson says he was lucky. Shoulder popped back when he got up.
So they call a goaltend. They literally blew the whistle that it was a goaltend. There was a putback after the whistle. After review they said no goaltend but count the basket ? WTF is that ? That's NBA officiating.
Just when you think the NBA officiating can't get any worse , guess again. This is absurd
Crazy. Courtney Lee was near the bench, asking Carlisle to review the call, while the Hawks threw the inbounds pass clean out of bounds.
At the end of three quarters, Mavericks are up 86-77 as Hardaway and Curry have combined for 42 points.
This game is shaping up much like Friday's in Orlando. The Hawks have a definite pulse and are a little more dangerous offensively than the Magic. Mavericks are up 66-58 at halftime behind Hardaway's 20, Curry's 14 and Wright's 12. Very solid effort so far sans stars.
Mavs' hard-earned lead, which grew to as much as 16 points, is down to 66-58 at halftime, but a very impressive two quarters nonetheless.
Trae Young has only 8 points on 3-of-9 shooting. It's mostly Collins (21 points) who is keeping Hawks in the game.
Keep expecting the Hawks to seize control, but hasn't happened yet: After one quarter, Mavs 35, Hawks 21. Hardaway and Curry, 11 points apiece.
Trae Young, 4 points on 1-of-4 shooting.
Mavericks close out a great first quarter with a paint jumper by JJ Barea and a 35-21 lead. Seth Curry and Tim Hardaway Jr. both have 11 points.
Mavericks G Jalen Brunson exits vs. Hawks with right shoulder sprain dallasnews.com/sports/maveric…
All 11 Mavs who were available entering tonight's game have played during the first 8 minutes, including starter Jalen Brunson, who won't be back.
Jalen Brunson suffered a sprained right shoulder on a foul 10 seconds into the game and will not return
Jalen Brunson (right shoulder sprain) will not return tonight @1033fmESPN
Curry and Hardaway 8 points apiece, Delon Wright 5 points off the bench after having to replace Brunson just 10 seconds into the game.
Mavs 23, Hawks 15. Hold on tight. Interesting ride tonight.
Jalen Brunson is out for the rest of the night with a right shoulder sprain.
Brunson (right shoulder sprain) out for the rest of the game, per Mavs.
As often happens, a short-handed team lifts its performance to a higher level, but it's awfully early and Mavs are down to 10 players, unless Brunson returns.
Mavs 13, Hawks 5.
Mavericks, who may have to consider activating Darrell Armstrong the way players are dropping, out to a 13-5 lead. Starting PG Luka Doncic sitting out. His replacement, Jalen Brunson, leaves with shoulder injury. Delon Wright next up. J.J. Barea on deck.
First possession of the game, Jalen Brunson layup, hard fall and right shoulder goes haywire. He shoots free throw left-handed and runs to locker room.
Geez. Ten seconds into the game, Brunson goes in for a layup, looks like he popped his shoulder. Initially ran off the floor, but realized that he needed to shoot the FT in order to potentially return to the game.
Mark Cuban says the reality of Luka Doncic's ankle situation is that, without a lengthy rost, he will continue to feel soreness.
"That’s just the nature of the injury. There’s being injured and there’s being hurt. He’s not injured, but it’s going to hurt."
Mavs starters: Hardaway, DFS, Kleber, Brunson, Curry
ATL starters: Reddish, Collins, Dedmon, Huerter, Young. Tip straight ahead @1033fmESPN
Mavs starters: Hardaway, Finney-Smith, Kleber, Curry, Brunson.
Mark Cuban on whether Mavs might kick tires on buyouts or released players: "We don’t have any roster spots. If we had an roster spot, we would probably do something, but we don’t. And there’s nobody we want to release."
Asked Mark Cuban if he thought anybody would kick the tires on DeMarcus Cousins and he said Mavs would have been interested “but we don’t have a roster spot and we don’t have anybod we want to let go.”
Oops, typo. Cauley-Stein is NOT here. Was with team last night. Not in Atlanta.
Carlisle says he doesn’t think Doncic will be out multi-games:,”I don’t expect it to be, but I don’t know know for sure. I understand the interest. Everyone wants to know about his latest hangnail. Look, he’s a great young player.” Doncic will work out before tonight’s game.
Rick Carlisle said he doesn’t think Luka’s sore ankle will be a multi game problem, but will know more by Monday.
Friggin’ freezin’ in this arena.
Even though he’s not playing tonight, Luka made his usual pregame Starbucks run with JJ Barea.
