Today, Dirk Nowitzki gave an update on his Apr. 5 left ankle surgery: "Tomorrow I’ll take the stitches out. Progressing good, but it’ll be awhile until I can run and do basketball activities. I already started rehabbing a little bit and riding the bike and lifting a little bit."

Dirk Nowitzki signed autographs for an hour at Festival de los Mavs and said he's prepared for a long summer of rehab on his surgically repaired ankle. But also excited about his 21st season. More to come.
Dirk Nowitzki said he's progressing on schedule from his ankle surgery and is doing some walking without the boot on his foot, although he's supposed to wear it for another couple weeks when he leaves the house.
Watching Manu close that out today is what I wonder if Mavs would try with Dirk next year. For the 25 minutes that he might play, be interesting to see what impact he might have if some of those minutes were clutch minutes. Not exactly similar because of Manu's ability to create.
