"We have a lot of big decisions to make moving forward. " -- Gersson Rosas
Rosas and Ryan Saunders discuss (via Zoom!) why they believe in their system and how this offseason -- whenever that may be -- is about acquiring or developing players who fit it.
Better Call Saul’s “Bagman” should sweep the Emmys next season. Writing (Gordon Smith), Directing (Vince Gilligan), Lead Actor (Bob Odenkirk) and Supporting Actor (Jonathan Banks). Banks should have at least a pair of Emmys by now. But he doesn’t have any for Mike.
One last #WolvesClassics tweet: “We’ve been at it for a long time,” said Andrew Wiggins. “This is what Flip first wanted when I first came here, to make the playoffs. We’re finally there now. I know he’s up there proud & I know Minnesota’s happy. This definitely feels worth it."
Andrew Wiggins sinks the biggest free throws of his career in OT. "I was like, `Wiggs, I know you can do this," Butler said. "And he told me to move. He did. He's like, `Move!' I'm like, `OK, excuse me.' And he stepped up and hit both of them. So, from now on, stay in my lane."
The thing I forgot about this #WolvesClassics Game 82 are all the insanely tough shots that went down. Butler, Towns, Jokic, Murray, Barton. Truly an exhibit of tough shot-making. And don't get me started about Taj's steal sending it to OT. My heart was pounding through my chest.
This is arguably the most stressful, agonizing quarter since I've covered the Wolves, I can't wait! The intensity of this game, the nervousness, the way each possession felt monumental, the immense relief in the end. All of it.
It's fun remembering these old things like Taj Gibson had this absolutely devastating left box drop step. Not many players could guard that move when Mr. Clean was a Wolf. One of the absolute best players to interview, too! A true pro.
The Towns/Jokic feud is something I've always been wildly interested in knowing more about and I'm not sure we've ever got the story behind their rivalry but I love watching these two go to battle. Two of the best! #WolvesClassics
THANK U MR TREBUCHET pic.twitter.com/3RdCsKus1h
Towns' post footwork is unbelievably good. Plumlee who? #WolvesClassics
When Jimmy Butler REALLY wants to get to the rim and get buckets, there's no denying his skill in that. Few players in this league can get to their spots like Mr. Jimmy Buckets. I always marveled at his fire and desire, even if things eventually turned sour.
Just finished a 50-minute Zoom call with Gersson Rosas, Ryan Saunders and local media.
I've missed you, transcribing. pic.twitter.com/wL8Y3vmguG
Was fun to talk hoops with Saunders and Rosas for a bit. Any amount of joy right now is gladly accepted. Rosas didn't want to comment on KAT's wrist. As for his mom, sadly, Calipari said yesterday that she remains in intensive care. ... 65% of the roster remains in town. #Twolves
Gersson Rosas and Ryan Saunders held a video conference call today. No real updates on KAT's mom or his wrist. Out of respect for privacy and larger issues, Rosas said there were no specifics to offer at this time.
Gersson Rosas shared on a conference call with Minnesota media that there is no update on Karl-Anthony Towns' wrist injury.
The more pressing issues in Karl's life are being prioritized.
On Zoom media availability, Gersson Rosas and Ryan Saunders didn’t have an update on Karl-Anthony Towns’ mom, who is battling COVID-19, said the teams’ thoughts and prayers are with his family and offered praise for the strength Towns showed announcing her battle in his IG video.
Rosas says that all scenarios have been discussed regarding resuming NBA play, including extending this season into the summer and possibly pushing next season back.
The majority of the players on the Timberwolves roster have remained in Minneapolis during the shutdown, according to Gersson Rosas.
The players who have left the market are in consistent contact with multiple Wolves staff members.
Important goal for Timberwolves throughout this process has been to get to know the players better as people.
The Timberwolves put a program together prior to the pandemic "just in case" --- this has included workout plans, food delivery, mental health check-ins, etc.
Rosas says Timberwolves are having daily check-ups with players throughout this process. Trying to give them a sense of normalcy as best they can.
Gersson Rosas gives @ASlavitt a shoutout during his Zoom media availability today.
Rosas says Slavitt has been consistently involved with the Timberwolves during the pandemic.
Gersson Rosas praises the leadership of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz throughout this difficult time to start his media availability.

With FSN replaying Game 82 tonight, I took a look back at that absolutely wild game between the Wolves & Nuggets.
Someone got pulled over in front of my house. Never thought I’d be the guy looking out my window but this is what the quarantine has done to me.
Well, watched all of James Wiseman’s tape.
That was easy.
I swear I check the mail 12 times before it actually gets to my house.
This Anthony Edwards game against So. Carolina really stuck out to me.
Big picture, Edwards is overly-reliant on his jumper. He settles. But in this game, particularly in the 4th + OT, when the game was in the balance, Edwards attacked the rim at will.
Florida, baby. pic.twitter.com/EvQigKtu8a
Just because the Timberwolves went wild at the trade deadline doesn't mean this will be a quiet offseason in Minnesota.
I'm betting things stay loud.
If the pattern does continue, here's a list of a few targets that could make some sense.
Watching all of my favorite Wolves on @fsnorth makes me happy/sad 😭
Rubio + K-Love is a duo my heart always wanted to see more of
In 1967, Jerry Wexler saw Carole King & Gerry Goffin walking down the street in NYC. He said he had a song he wanted them to write for Aretha Franklin. He had a working title: “Natural Woman.” They went home and wrote an instant classic in one night. It’s always a mood lifter ... pic.twitter.com/DAghJcnJgP

Finally watched Parasite! Talk about masterful filmmaking by Bong Joon Ho—a stunning movie with powerful messages about social structures, culture, class. Humorous, but dark. Brilliant film imo. I know I’m very late on this one but better late than never. RECOMMENDED VIEWING.
We all better fuckin vote in November
