Joel Embiid:”I didn’t have the attitude I should’ve had. I felt like I had it, but I didn’t show it.”
praying for lag-free streams for all the homies watching Wilder-Fury tonight, may the internet gods be with you
Me: What if we went to a puzzle competition?
@ColleenWolfe: Puzzle Leagues?! Please. I’ve already thought about those.
On a side note, the Al Horford and Joel Embiid lineups have an offensive rating of just 98.9 #Sixers
If Ben Simmons is going to continue having these back issues, that’s a bigger cause for concern than anything. He’s so dynamic and he’s so important to what they want to do. They miss his playmaking on offense and his elite defense. #Sixers
The Sixers are very far away from the Bucks right now, and Simmons leaving early made that look worse.
But they have problems that will be difficult to fix and are a product of years of decision-making: phillyvoice.com/instant-observ…
Wonder if the Bucks will try the bucket-of-confetti play tonight.
Sooooooo.......would it be optimistic to see the Sixers make it to the second round?
It's not quite 44-8, but the Bucks have outscored the Sixers 57-35 since the Sixers made it a 3 point game with 1:36 left in the first half.
That Papa John's commercial might be one of the 5 most annoying commercials I've ever seen.
Philly was down by 6 at halftime. They’re now trailing it 93-73 after 3. It be like that sometimes.
A lot of focus on Horford's contract but Khris Middleton got extended for $2 million less over 5 years than Harris and Milwaukee wouldn't exchange those two if you gave them the rights to the cheesesteak and the roast pork sandwich in the deal
Horford has to be hurt. I refuse to believe his game died in a matter of one offseason.
Bucks position themselves perfectly to swallow defensive rebounds. Giannis is on a mission. Embiid now pressing.
Embiid shot poorly but to me that half shows the difference it makes just to have him fully engaged. Lifts up everybody else on the floor by setting a baseline and making recoveries easier.
So of course the camera shot heading into halftime is him holding his lower back
Just the 10th 3-pointer Al Horford has made this year when he's been on the court with Embiid. 10. in 487 minutes spacing the floor next to a post-up center.
Sixers down 56-50 at the half, a half which ends with Embiid grabbing his lower back as he walks to the locker room.
Embiid grabbed his lower back at the conclusion of the first half.
And our attention now turns to the knee of Tobias Harris
Sixers are going to get some make-up calls for Embiid in the post after that sequence pic.twitter.com/dUrmC2n12P
I'm convinced that Glenn Robinson is going to shoot about 25% from 3 for the Sixers, because somehow that always happens with this team.
Simmons out for game
Ben Simmons will not return to this game #Sixers
Ben Simmons will not return
Sixers’ offensive scheme is so baffling. What are they doing? Ball movement is horrible. Understand Simmons being out, but it’s bad
At the end of 1 quarter of play, Milwaukee is shooting 5-12 from 3 and the Sixers 1-10. I'll let you take a guess who's winning.
I was on the "Horford's shooting on wide-open threes is going to come around" corner for a while, but at this point you kinda have to ignore all available evidence to believe that
After missing their first 6 three-pointers, Furkan Korkmaz makes a 3 (there you go) to pull the Sixers to within 23-15 with 3:23 left in the first.
Simmons will head back to the locker room to loosen up his back from time to time when he comes out of the game.
The Sixers, down 17-7, will have to navigate a few minutes with neither Simmons (getting treatment on his back) or Embiid (out after his normal 5 minute stint).
Ben Simmons going to the locker room less than 5 into this one #Sixers
Thybulle takes an immediate foul to get Simmons off the floor and back to the locker room. Not good.
Yikes. Simmons to locker room
One would call this a rough start #Sixers
It's it wrong to think of the show Laverne and Shirley whenever in Milwaukee. Asking for a friend?
Oscar Robertson expertly ignoring questions to throw out takes about both teams during pregame. Asked who needs to change more between Embiid and Simmons to make this work:
"They should have kept the shooter they sent to New Orleans. And they should have got another one."
Bucks reserve Kyle Korver is out with back soreness.
#Sixers inactive list: Kyle O'Quinn (coach's decision), Marial Shayok (two-way) and Zhaire Smith (G-League assignment).
“He’s only going to get better.”
Brett Brown says he pinches himself that Ben Simmons is only 23 years old. pic.twitter.com/sNyIfFoBF7
GR3 to start for Sixers
