Bradley Beal didn't score 50. And the Wizards won. Beal had a huge 4thQ & made the right plays down the stretch. Didn't force anything. Let his teammates close out BKN. It was the kind of game that should remind him, fun can be had without being Mad Brad theathletic.com/1635437/2020/0…
Nets coach Kenny Atkinson on Bradley Beal: "Fourth quarter, he took over, and that's what great players do. He's really become a great player in this league. I know you guys all know it and get to see him all the time. Great, great player."
That Wizards win put a lot of smiles on my face. Big time to see Beal trust his teammates twice in the final 30 seconds when trapped. Thrilled for Jerome Robinson. Loved the way Beal competed on both ends — haven’t seen him play that hard defensively in a while.
Big time win
Wizards hold on to beat the Nets, 110-106. Jerome Robinson was the unlikely hero with the go-ahead shot, and win-sealing rebound and free throws.
That snaps a three-game skid for the Wizards.
Jerome Robinson made the big shot and got what could be the game-sealing rebound. He can put the Nets away with two free throws.
Wowwwww HUGE shot by Jerome Robinson, a go-ahead three with 8.4 sec. left. Beal trusted Robinson with the pass and he came through.
Bradley Beal now has 30 points after that game-tying three. It's the fourth straight time he's dropped 30 against the Nets.
That was one of Bertans' most timely threes of the season. All tied up at 100-100 now with 1:23 to go in the fourth.
Bradley Beals 16th straight game of at least 25 points. #RepTheDistrict

The Wizards led by as many as 18, but now the Nets have taken their first lead with under a min. left in the 3rd.
The Wizards go into halftime leading the Nets, 60-47. Rui Hachimura has 15 pts, Beal and Bertans have 11 apiece. LeVert leads the Nets with 19.
Troy Brown Jr. has checked in for the first time with 6:27 left in the second quarter.
Bradley Beal is heating up again, now with 7 pts on 3-4 FG in the first quarter. Hasn't slowed down yet from his two 50-pt games.
Rui Hachimura is off to one of his trademark hot starts with 8 pts in 4 min including 2-2 3PT.
Davis Bertans is playing after being listed as questionable with a sore right foot. Shabazz Napier has replaced Ish Smith in the starting lineup.
It's always frustrating when you've had a bunch of incredible interviews & then realize that you have to transcribe all of it.
Since many have asked re: Bradley Beal, yes there have been players who were not All-Stars who later made All-NBA that season. For example, Rod Strickland did so as a member of the Wizards in 1997-98.
Freshest thing I ever bought was that Bentley truck! instagram.com/p/B9CWyFtHdrw/…
A Pelicans-Lakers first-round series would be interesting even without all the larger storylines. New Orleans' speed and athleticism gives LA problems. Not insurmountable ones, but enough to push them.
Another day. Another blessing! 🙏🏽
Bradley Beal is proving that he's an elite scorer & has the Wizards playing slightly above expectations. But you can't tell because he's been 'Mad Brad' most of the season. I made a plea for him to lighten up & have more fun with this beautiful struggle theathletic.com/1635437/2020/0…
LeBron earned that Twizzler
Milwaukee has already won 50 games & clinched a playoff berth. And it ain't even March yet. Giannis Antetokounmpo said last month, "I don't think there's a team in this league we cannot beat." With wins vs TOR, LAC, LAL, HOU, PHI, etc., are you listening? theathletic.com/1547264/2020/0…
What song is Drake dancing to? *wrong answers only* pic.twitter.com/1nU7m5UHLf
Just finished Bucks-Raptors. What an amazing defensive display by both teams. And wow what an impressive performance from MIL. Felt like a playoff game
The Raptors shot 52 (!!) 3s and it didn't matter. All part of the plan, as I wrote about in December sbnation.com/nba/2019/12/24…
OK, whoever is running the big board w/those "4th Quarter, Let's Go" to hype up the home crowd needs some awareness....it's a near 40p lead. Unless by "Let's Go" they mean home #PacersHornets
It's a 94-55 lead after 3rd #PacersHornets
Sabonis 21p 12r 6a
Turner 6p 10r 8b (career high)
Brogdon 15p 7a 6r
37-61 FGs, 60.7%
22-70 FGs, 31.4%
Turner has 6p and 8b...the rate this game is going he probably won't be in long enough to get a double-double with blocks but he's close #PacersHornets
TORONTO PLAYING PACK-LINE DEFENSE. EFFECTIVE AT EVERY LEVEL IF EVERYONE BUYS IN. .
Couple reasons for this score #PacersHornets
-Sabonis is hitting open mid-range and even 3. Zeller wont come out. Wanna open up these defenses, has to take it (and make it)
-AHoliday better on both ends
-Getting stops for easy buckets in transition
-Hornets aren't very good
It's a 69-44 lead @ half #PacersHornets
Sabonis 15p 7r 4a
Turner 6p 4r 6b 2a
Brogdon 8p 6a
28-41 FGs, 68.3%
8-12 3s, 66.7%
21a on 28 FGs
32-16p in paint
IT’S A GOOD GAME ON TNT
So maybe this crashing 5 for orebs isn’t just an end-of-qtr thing. They do it again (great contest on Rozier by AHoliday for the miss) and ... 🤷🏽♂️ pic.twitter.com/MHrjWhqJU1
Turner picks up 5th block....then seals Zeller under the rim so Sabonis can get the def rebound #PacersHornets
McDermott just beat Bridges off the bounce and finished thru 2 defenders at the rim. Dont see that often #PacersHornets
