Candace Buckner: Chase Budinger and #Pacers have agreed to terms on a buyout, IndyStar has learned. @Sean Deveney first with the news. The agreement is in place but buyout will become final tomorrow. Budinger and #Pacers had come to terms a week ago.
Candace Buckner: So to repeat: Budinger & #Pacers agreed to a buyout deal a week ago. But not finalized because team’s been waiting on CJ Miles to return from injury. So, as I understand the agreement, buyout will be finalized after #Pacers play Hornets tomorrow night b/c team needs available players.
Because we are past the March 1 deadline for waived players, Budinger will not be eligible to play in the postseason. But he is expected to sign elsewhere once he is officially waived, a source said, probably with a Western Conference team.
