Shams Charania: The Detroit Pistons are waiving guard Cory Joseph and F/G Deividas Sirvydis, sources tell me and @James Edwards III.
Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem inked Deividas Sirvydis to a long-term contract, the Israeli club announced on Saturday. “We have been following Deividas all season and we have extremely impressed with the level of talent, versatility, and ability to play in both forward positions,” noted the team’s sporting director, Yotam Halperin, “His talent and upside present us many reasons for optimism.”
Sirvydis, 19, was selected 37th in the 2019 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks. However, his NBA rights were immediately traded to the Detroit Pistons. Afterward, he played in five 2019 Summer League games posting 1.8 points per contest.
