Stefan Bondy: Moe Harkless says he’s remaining with the Knicks the rest of the season but going from a contender to a non-playoff team has been an adjustment: “Everything is different, the culture and everything.”
Chris Haynes: New York Knicks forward Moe Harkless is a player teams are monitoring as a buyout target, but the plan is for both sides to finish the year out together, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
That doesn’t mean they aren’t looking, though. In fact, during an appearance on ESPN LA 710’s “The Sedano Show” on Tuesday, Sam Amick of The Athletic reported that the Lakers are waiting to see what happens with Moe Harkless, who was traded from the 37-18 LA Clippers to the 17-38 New York Knicks in the Marcus Morris deal earlier this month: “Moe Harkless is a name I’ve heard they’re interested in and monitoring and still have an eye on.”
“Being a Knicks fan growing up and now being here is kind of crazy,’’ Harkless said. Neverthless, a report had Harkless considering asking for a a buyout later this month. “I haven’t put any thought into it,” he said. “I’ve been hearing about it but it’s not my thought when I got traded here. I’m just in the moment.’’
