I don’t know if that’s going to happen; that’s definitely what I’m shooting for.” The Bulls are hoping that Carter as well as Otto Porter Jr. and Lauri Markkanen will return to play during the next week or two and the Bulls can take a shot and make one final push for that long discussed playoff goal for this season. Carter still believes it’s possible despite the season of setbacks and disappointments. Plus, Carter said after a shaky start he’s on board with coach Jim Boylen.

Bulls forward Otto Porter Jr. is aiming for a return around the All-Star break in February, according to league sources. Porter has played in only nine games and has not played since Nov. 6 due to a small fracture in his left foot.
JD Shaw: Bulls forward Otto Porter Jr. will miss at least four more weeks with his bruised left foot, continuing his current period of immobilization and progress as tolerated, the team announced today.

Otto Porter has played with a bone contusion in his left leg that has been monitored by the Wizards’ medical staff, according to a person close to the situation.
On Thursday, Wizards Coach Scott Brooks was vague about Porter’s status for Game 6, which is to be played Friday night inside Capital One Arena at 7 p.m. The Wizards trail the Raptors three games to two in the best-of-seven series. “Anything’s possible, but we hope for the best,” Brooks responded when asked if Porter possibly will not play Friday. “I know he’s banged up. That’s all I know as of right now.”
Chase Hughes: Scott Brooks said that Otto Porter is “banged up.” He didn’t rule out Otto missing Game 6 and doesn’t know if an MRI will be scheduled for his right leg strain. Doesn’t sound likely he will miss Game 6, but it’s possible.

Candace Buckner: Porter went through some of practice and still listed of day to day. Scott still in NBA protocol and has to finish that before going through next step. Both are listed as questionable for Game 1.
