J. Michael: Shawn Dawson had an invite from the Wizards to attend camp but he has decided against attending, league sources tell @CSNMA #WizardsTalk
Shawn Dawson is likely to get in invite from the Wizards for training camp, league sources tell CSNmidatlantic.com. It seems likely that he’d accept unless he receives a better offer elsewhere. Given his potential, that could happen, too. “I just want to get there,” Dawson, 22, who is from Israel and has played there in the Premier League, said of playing in the NBA. “That’s been my dream my whole life. If I can get there now I would love that. I might not get playing minutes the first year, first two years, first three years. That’s how I started my career as a pro in Israel also. I just got to build myself up. I’m just going to keep working.”
