Ben Simmons expected to hire agent Bernie Lee, agent of Jimmy Butler, others
Jon Krawczynski: Ben Simmons is expected to hire veteran agent Bernie Lee, who has a long history of guiding clients through difficult spots, sources said. Lee also reps Jimmy Butler, Justin Holiday and Kris Dunn, among other players.
Chris Haynes: Bernie Lee of Thread Sports Management LTD has signed 2016 lottery pick Kris Dunn for representation. Dunn is receiving NBA call-up interest from playing in G-League’s Capital City Go-Go.
Yaron Weitzman: One fun anecdote: upon being told by the Sixers that they didn’t want to pay Butler, apparently Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee, went on a rant to Josh Harris and told him he was making a huge mistake. Lee told Harris he was breaking up a championship team, that he was putting Simmons in a position to fail and that he’d end up having to trade him and that he was wasting years of Embiid’s prime.
