Bryce Dejean-Jones Rumors
Undrafted free-agent guard Bryce Dejean-Jones has reached agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans on a multi-year contract, league sources told RealGM. Dejean-Jones went unselected in June’s NBA draft out of Iowa State, where he averaged 10.6 points and 4.7 rebounds in 33 games as a senior. The 22-year-old had standout runs at Iowa State and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, including a degree from UNLV.
Yet, the Lakers did not watch any of those prospects on Tuesday in what marked the first day of workouts leading into the June 25 draft. Instead, the Lakers monitored various senior prospects, including Arizona point guard T.J. McConnell, Iowa State shooting guard Bryce Dejean-Jones, Gonzaga point guard Kevin Pangos, Maryland shooting guard Dez Wells, Northern Iowa power forward, Seth Tuttle and Minnesota power forward Maurice Walker.
