Another Michigan basketball player is going to test the waters of the NBA. Caleb Houstan, the freshman combo guard who started all 34 games for the Wolverines, has declared for the 2022 NBA draft, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reported Monday night.

Speaking of Michigan, Caleb Houstan has had a rough start to the season. Scouts who went to Ann Arbor in the preseason and then spoke to The Athletic afterward noted that Houstan hadn’t separated from the pack early on as a standout, although they mostly just chalked that up to a freshman adjusting to college hoops.
