Daniel Gafford Rumors
“I can’t thank Coach Anderson and the Razorback coaching staff enough for two great years in my development both as a player and person,” Gafford said. “It has been a fun ride, but the time has come for me to move on to the next stage of my career and declare for the NBA Draft.”
Andrew Scaglione: BREAKING: “Daniel Gafford is gonna declare for the NBA draft, and will hire an agent.” Coach Anderson confirms Gafford won’t play in the NIT.
Among the questions Daniel Gafford answered at SEC media days was: Daniel, what in the heck are you doing here instead of playing for an NBA team and making $4 million to $5 million over the next two years? Gafford chuckled and said he’s never had any second thoughts about turning down the NBA and returning to Arkansas for his sophomore season. “I made the decision; it was final, and I’m here now,” he said. “I’m 100 percent behind it. I’m all in at Arkansas.”
“I wasn’t worried about testing the waters,” Gafford said. “I just wanted to come back so I could get my mind ready to focus on maturing and being a leader of the team and worrying about this season. Because of the way I work, if I work hard enough, I can be a great player here and then have a career in the NBA. I can have all of that.”
