The Chicago Bulls have parted ways with assistant coaches Dean Cooper, Nate Loenser, Roy Rogers and Karen Stack Umlauf. “I would like to thank Dean, Nate, Roy and Karen for their contributions and dedication to our organization. Decisions like these are never easy, and I wish them well in the future,” said Executive Vice President – Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas. “I appreciate the time that I was able to spend with Dean, Nate, Roy and Karen. I really want to thank all of them for their service and commitment to the Chicago Bulls,” said Head Coach Billy Donovan. “This is the tough side to our business, and I wish all of them the best moving forward.”

Billy Donovan lets go of multiple assistants

Billy Donovan called multiple assistant coaches Monday morning and informed them they won’t serve on his first staff as Bulls coach, sources told NBC Sports Chicago. Gone — at least — are Roy Rogers, Dean Cooper and Nate Loenser, sources confirmed. The Bulls just picked up an option for the 2020-21 season on Loenser’s contract, and Rogers had just finished the first of a three-year deal. Ownership continues to give the green light to the new regime to make changes, no matter the cost.
The Utah Jazz today announced that Jordan Brady has been named an assistant coach on Idaho Stampede Head Coach Dean Cooper’s staff. Brady replaces Andrae Patterson, who joined the Jazz front office staff as player personnel/player programs coordinator earlier this offseason. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not announced. “Jordan has a bright future ahead of him,” said Stampede coach Dean Cooper. “He brings a lot of D-League experience from being both a coach and a player. He’s a talented young coach who will be a valuable part of our player development.”
The Utah Jazz today announced that Andrae Patterson and Travis Walton have been named assistant coaches on Idaho Stampede Head Coach Dean Cooper’s staff. In addition, the Jazz announced that Brady Howe will serve as the head athletic trainer and strength-and-conditioning coach and Hans Steinbrenner as the director of basketball operations for the Stampede, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate. Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not announced.
