Detroit Pistons: Here’s our training camp roster! Also, the #Pistons have signed guard Beno Udrih, forward Derek Willis and center Landry Nnoko to contracts.
Derek Willis Rumors

In the spot designated for agent contact information, Derek Willis wrote down the phone number for Keely Potts. That’s not the former Kentucky basketball player’s agent. That’s his fiancee. So when the Detroit Pistons called earlier this summer to inform Willis they were offering a contract, Potts answered the call. “So it was kind of a little different,” the 6-foot-9 Willis said Tuesday.
Derek Willis: “I just put her name down, but it was in the wrong spot. It was for an emergency contact and I was like, ‘Call my fiancee,’ you know. I guess they took it as, like, my agent. They ended up calling her with the news. It was just weird.”
The Pistons are signing Kentucky power forward Derek Willis to a one-year deal, with the intent of making him one of their affiliate players at their Gatorade League affiliate in Grand Rapids.
Rod Beard: My understanding is that Derek Willis’ deal is an affiliate contract. He’ll likely go to #Pistons training camp and be on @grdrive roster.
Chris Haynes: Undrafted free agent Derek Willis out of Kentucky has agreed to a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons, league sources tell ESPN.
Michael Scotto: Sources: Derek Willis (Kentucky) has changed his mind and will play in Summer League with the Detroit Pistons instead of the Miami Heat #BBN
