Greg Whittington Rumors

The Miami HEAT announced today that they have signed forward Greg Whittington. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Whittington appeared in nine total games (six starts) with the HEAT during Summer League play in both Orlando and Las Vegas this summer and averaged 9.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.44 steals and 1.33 blocks while shooting 43.5 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from three-point range and a perfect 13-of-13 from the foul line. During Las Vegas Summer League play, he led the team in points (65), rebounds (41), blocks (8) and three-point field goals made (8).
The only remaining player on a partially guaranteed contract is guard Tyler Johnson, who had 50 percent of his $845,050 2015-16 salary guaranteed on Aug. 1. Otherwise, forward James Ennis has a opening-night guarantee deadline for his entire 2015-16 salary, with recently added free agents Keith Benson, Corey Hawkins and Greg Whittington guaranteed until Jan. 10.
Kansas small forward Kelly Oubre and Texas center Myles Turner were the headliners at today’s Nuggets workout, as the team detailed on Nuggets.com. Joining them are point guards T.J. McConnell of Arizona and Keifer Sykes of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Georgetown power forward Greg Whittington and Delaware State big man Kendall Gray, according to the team.
