Jaxson Hayes Rumors
University of Texas freshman forward Jaxson Hayes, a 2018 Moeller High School graduate, has declared for the NBA Draft. Hayes was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and claimed spots on the All-Big 12 Second Team, the Big 12 All-Defensive Team, the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.
Texas freshman Jaxson Hayes has not made a decision whether he’ll enter the NBA Draft yet. He will discuss his future with his parents, as well as the Longhorns coaching staff, “soon.” But Hayes made it clear he feels he’s ready to play at the next level if he chooses that route. “I feel like if I were to make the jump, I feel like I’d be good,” Hayes said after Texas won the NIT championship on Thursday night.”
Jeff Howe: Shaka Smart said injured #Texas forward Jaxson Hayes will miss the NIT (however long the #Longhorns are in it) but the possible lottery pick didn’t break or tear anything in his left knee. Smart said the injury is the type that will likely keep Hayes on the shelf for 6-8 weeks.
