Peyton Manning Rumors
Anthony Davis says he’s the happiest he’s ever been. But he isn’t satisfied. In an interview with The Athletic ahead of his first Super Bowl commercial — the premise of the Michelob Ultra ad, which also features Serena Williams, Peyton Manning and Brooks Koepka, centers on the slogan, “Do you win because you are happy? Or are you happy because you win?” — Davis said his first season with the Lakers, capped by winning the 2019-20 championship in the Orlando bubble, was everything he envisioned it would be.
Turner Sports’ The Match 3 is officially set. The popular celebrity golf outing will feature Phil Mickelson, Charles Barkley, Stephen Curry and Peyton Manning and air on WarnerMedia’s TNT network on Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. ET.
The outing, titled “The Match: Champions for Change” will “uniquely contribute toward and highlight diversity, equality and inclusion through donations to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), while raising awareness and spotlighting opportunities for diversity and equality in sports,” the network said in its release.
Along the way, Kobe Bryant has recruited athletic pals, luring in the likes of former quarterback Peyton Manning and current NBA star Steph Curry. “Really just having the halo of Kobe Bryant attached to Art of Sport has opened doors across the board,” says Brian Lee, the serial entrepreneur who co-founded Art of Sport, as well as The Honest Company and LegalZoom. But while acknowledging the advantages having Kobe Bryant on the team brings, Bryant Stibel co-founder, brain scientist, and part-time USA TODAY columnist, Jeff Stibel says, “You should remember that for the first five years or so, we kept our relationship with Kobe confidential. We wanted the work to speak for itself.”
