Scottie Reynolds Rumors

The Jazz waived Paul Carter, Trey Gilder, Keith McLeod and Scottie Reynolds on Wednesday. Utah’s roster is at 14. Jazz General Manager Kevin O’Connor said Carter could land with the Idaho Stampede, Utah’s NBA Development League affiliate. Veteran point guard Jamaal Tinsley made the initial cut. He will continue to back up Devin Harris and Earl Watson.
Tellem confirmed that he’s getting closer to that goal after Reynolds – fighting back from a slight Achilles’ tendon problem – played three games for the Phoenix Suns in the Las Vegas Summer League. Reynolds finished four seasons at Villanova as the No. 2 scorer in Wildcats history, becoming the fourth first-team All-America in the school’s history. He also became the first first-team All-America to go undrafted. The Suns have offered Reynolds an invitation to their training camp, and Tellem said, “We’re talking about a potential contract.” Tellem also said, “There are plenty of other options” in Europe and the NBA Developmental League and that he would have a better handle on things within the next couple of weeks.
