LSU junior guards Skylar Mays and Marlon Taylor have both withdrawn from NBA Draft consideration and will return to school for the 2019-20 season, a source close to the program told NOLA.com
LSU guard Skylar Mays will take a little longer to deci-de if he’ll stay in or come back for his senior season. Mays, one of six LSU players to put their names in for the NBA draft last month, told The Advocate on Wednesday that he will wait until closer to the May 29 deadline to make a decision.
Mays did confirm that he’s visited and worked out for five NBA teams: the Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks.
Jeff Goodman: LSU’s Naz Reid told @Stadium there is no chance he returns to school. No shock. Tigers PG Tremont Waters also headed to the NBA Draft, source told @Stadium. Still four other LSU players still in in the mix who declared: Skylar Mays, Ja’Vonte Smart, Emmitt Williams, Marlon Taylor.
